Additional Information (if any): I have submitted to have these removed a number of times. If you see in the photos which I have added from Google Earth. This is an active STEEL MILL FACTORY. Sorry, they aren’t melting Streel and then playing Soccer and running the indoor track. Actually, If you want, I can drive to the Local BodyZone where I could take very detailed photos of this space which the photo used in the submission came from. There isn’t a Fancy Basketball Court, and Ice Skating Rink or an Indoor Soccer field at this location. I could even contact the firm that designed all these buildings ((I worked for them and seen the plans)) to prove this to you. Please remove the invalid false portal/gym or whatever it is called.
The photo for this portal appears to be third party from the BodyZone website. If not the exact same photo, it shows where the photo was taken. Hope this helps your case.
Yeah. Who ever submitted the Wayspots should have their submitting abilities removed, they did this, a Ice Skating Rink ((Also from BodyZone)), a Basketball Court ((From some place in Tennessee, a fellow RES Player found it)), a Bowling Alley ((From a local Bowling Alley in Reading PA)). This is the last one that Niantic says they will decline. I am almost sure the evidence is here especially with your post. Thank You.
They have a few plants in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York ((I think)). Reading PA is where they are based out of. What’s funny, is in the design parts of every one of their buildings, their locker rooms are 2x what you would think because they have the nasty dirty Steel Clothing that is kept separate from their (The employees) regular clothes. So, even the idea that they would have this beautiful CLEAN gym and soccer field inside the middle of their plant is funny….especially that one, thats where they are actually melting the steel.
@cyndiepooh confirmed that it’s a fake nomination by finding the photo of the Wayspot connected to the Body Zone’s Google Maps photos. I’m thinking someone that works at the plant wanted a Wayspot to play while on break or lunch, but knew that nothing at the plant was eligible. So, they decided to create a fake nomination using the Body Zone photos.
For some reason, photos on Google Maps don’t always come up when doing an image search. I have had to dig through the images for a nomination on Google Maps just to find that it’s a 3rd party image. And if this was decided on by the community, not all take the time to check for 3rd party images, or even check to see what the manner of the place being nominated truly is. ML misses 3rd party images from time to time, too, and it may not know fully that this is a steel plant.
Keep in mind that if you do run across abusive Wayspots, such as this one, we do have a Reporting Abuse link at the top of the forums that you can use. I’d say this one falls under abuse for being a fake nomination using 3rd party photos. Here’s the direct link for future reference:
DTrain2002, Thank you. I will revert to that should I come across that again. The accuracy of the Wayspots in the game are very important to me. The games are founded on these things, and because of this I have seen some really cool places. Thank you for your assistance.
Question, a Water tower that an employee claims it is dangerous to go near, would I use this Reporting Abuse in Wayfarer for that?
- Background on the said portal, it is a Water Tower inside a factory property. It has been said that you can reach it from a store inside that we can get to should we finish answering all the questions by the guards at the gate. But when a member of my team destroyed the portal and captured it, the employee ((On the other faction)) started messaging the player that they were trespassing and that being near the water tower is dangerous and the guards should have never allowed them to go there. Where should this be posted at?
If I understand the situation correctly, I would report the water tower for removal. You can either use a form linked at the top here, or report in game. I would use the reporting abuse form, and would provide the messages from the employee that the water tower area is dangerous. Wayspots with restricted access are allowed, but not ones that don’t have safe access for anyone.
