Change position of POI in PoGO

Hi,

I have a Wayfarer Bug here so please help me.

The origin position and the position ingame are different.
Please see the screenshots.

I think it must be changed only some zentimeters.
I dont know what happened here…

It looks like the position in the game is different to the position which I intendet to use
In the game it looks like the POI (Rasthaus) is now on the street… but it is on the line of two cells. So I want to move it more to the right

The waypoint is placed correctly, maybe off by a tiny bit but would still be within the same cell if corrected. Its not eligible to appear because its in the same cell as “Unser Spielplatz”.
Even if it did move to the other cell, it wouldnt be eligible to appear as “Rasthaus Hörne”

No this is not correct. “Unser Spielplatz” and “Fahr Rad!” is in the same cell. Ingame and in reality. But the “Rasthause Hörne” is way more to the right in reality . You can see it with the green Part in the map
and the tree. So it would just be correct to change the position here

Based on Street View, you might be right, but it’s difficult to tell with the tree coverage.

Likely, Niantic will request you to provide geo-tagged photos taken to support the location. These will need to be recent photos with the location setting saved.

By way, “cells” don’t affect whether or not a Wayspot location is correct. If you’re intentionally moving Wayspots just to open up/switch cells, you’re getting into an area that can easily be considered abuse.

I’m not accusing you of doing that, just something to consider especially with how you present future requests you may have.

Also, welcome to the community. You may need to address this location request via the Wayfarer webpage Help chat where you an upload the photo(s).

I had a situation where reviewers moved my pin in voting like this. I used help chat and and location tagged photos to prove that my submitted position was the accurate one. But I did not mention anything about cells or 20m circles in my request, just facts and proof that the location should be corrected.

Ah, seems you’re right, a different mapping service shows it more clear

Though both look like they could move a little to the right to be more accurate, they look pretty close.

Its significantly off…

The sign to the left is also it needs to be moved over to the right

indeed, by just as much distance… amazing how a different sat image can clear things up so easily.

and this probably explains why reviewers moved it in the first place, too.

Thanks for the help and for welcoming me
I am new here but normally I know this stuff…

Since this whole process is so “secret” it seemed more than a bug to me …
But maybe some people changed the position …

in this village this is very sad because there are only two stops here and no gym in this region

i will contact the wayfarer help and send them photos with geo tagging

Please submit an in-game contribution to move the Wayspot to its correct location.

this is not possible, because it is not visible ingame. That is the problem …

Have you ever submitted a location edit in PoGO?

Some People here dont understand my problem I think …

I cannot change a position of a POI / Stop / Gym in Pokemon GO when it is not visible …

Is that still buggy or why you asking?

Most of us understand, and that is why you were advised to use help chat originally. I am sure that Aaron saw the short distance needed when he suggested using the in game option and did not go all the way back to the top. The response about submitting in game edits was aimed at him. The two reply options in this “Discourse” forum do often create confusion. Go ahead with the help chat request if you have not done so yet.

The lively conversation on this post should let you know what evidence you need to present. Location tagged photo and reference to the map service that shows it accurately are things you should give help chat.

yes thank you. I already used the help function … but it says I have to use the ingame function to change the position…
But I used the request page for owners of private ground…

Sometimes it seems Niantic dont know about those problems
