Recently this Church nomination was rejected for the reason of being a school/private property. This being because there is a day nursery that runs at the church. this seems like a stupid reason for rejection as most churches have things like this but are still mainly operating as a church for the public. I may be misunderstanding something so does that mean it is ineligible?
Church is definitely in eligible criteria but when its in conflict with ineligible criteria, we need to look into its location. Basically we dont want waystop anywhere near kids care. To do that you need to see how is the layout of the place.
I have seen case that community center can get approved with enough evidence that the childcare have designated and separated place
Is the preschool in a separate area? Sometimes they are in the church hall which is distinct from the church.
If they use the same space and are there Monday- Friday then unfortunately it won’t be acceptable.
I can’t be 100% sure but I believe the day care is in the adjacent building but it is possible both buildings are used. I think the main location would be in this secondary building.
Try getting more information regarding the nursery location. If the building is separated, i believe nomination is possible.
