Hello Wayfarer colleagues,
I searched the forum for a discussion on this topic, but the search showed no matches about the Community map (for Pokemon Go). Would it be good for the community to be able to suggest/nominate ‘Popular Parks’ for the games, or does the community feature in Campfire suffice? I personally think this would increase engagement within communities, because not every user uses Campfire (while the Community Map shows up in event information).
Important question here is, how do we define a ‘Popular park’? Is it a place with a high wayspot density, or is it place where many users gather already?
Aside from that, are the ambassadors allowed to submit/decide the Popular parks?
I would guess there’s no topic as that’s for the Pokémon GO team, and not Wayfarer to select popular parks for that games Community Day.
You’d be best raising the query on the Pokémon Go app or to a Pokémon Go Community Ambassador who may know more.

Agree that this is more game related than Wayfarer related. Ingress could even have popular places marked out if they wanted, for example.
I understand your point, seems it’s more related to Pokemon Go. Who is the Pokemon Go ambassador if I may ask?
The Pokemon Go Ambassadors are local to their communities. Maybe poke around on Campfire looking for groups?

Oh, I understand. Sadly there isn’t a platform like Wayfarer for such things (though Campfire is sort of), hence that being the reason for bringing up the topic. Do you think you can partly answer the questions? I’m still interested in what others think aside from how it works in reality 
I don’t think anyone here can answer these questions, as they aren’t Wayfarer related. The ambos here help with Wayfarer; some may be community ambos for the games, but their role here is just for Wayfarer.
Besides Campfire, you may want to check different social media online to see if there are any local groups. I know that my local community ambo for PoGo has set up a Discord channel and shared the link for it in our Campfire group.
I’ll just add based on what I’ve seen from my PoGo community ambo: they usually choose areas in our downtown area for different events due to the high density of stops/gyms. I’ve only seen them choose 2 different locations in the past, both with high density of stops/gyms and both college campuses. Those aren’t areas I frequent, but I know they do get a good deal of people to come out.
Good call, in my area (North of the Netherlands) there aren’t Ambassadors yet, but I’ll try to contact someone else.
