Community Rejection > Road Verge Nature Reserve > Not permanent or not distinct / Unsafe or not accessible

Thank you - much more concise!

I recall seeing these in a few other places in the Vale of White Horse towards Milton and Cumnor (was on the A420, likely not safe) and I’ve seen one as a stop near Milton. Considering the Let it Bee info signs I’ve nominated in the area, I’d think of these as a similar thing if they have safe access.

RVNR 51 is the Milton Hill one, which is the one wayspot that I have seen. It has a footpath in front of it. I am not sure if it has been subsequently compromised by the roadworks they are currently doing in that area.

Street view shows this to be along the entrance ramp to a highway. I don’t think UK highways are that different from those in the US. I would have said this does not have safe pedestrian access.

This location is definitely safe for pedestrians!

It has a cycle path with markings to show which side of the pavement is for cyclists and therefore which side for pedestrians.

That it is not remotely pleasant to walk there is completely beside the point.

I missed the earlier picture posted with the cycle path and only saw the street view image.

I may have to change my opinion.

We do similar things with road side plantings, but here I wouldn’t dream of nominating them: definitely not safe pedestrian access here.

Easily done with some of these pictures

We have some signs like this that are for areas directly alongside roads on the verges.

Our one is not a let it bee, don’t think I’ve seen one of them here. The ones here are Biodiversity areas. Same kind of thing I imagine, Council or Conservation group only mow a thin patch on the roadside and leave the rest to grow wild.

Like @elijustrying replied above, that is the perfect way to convey their adherence to criteria.

That advice was so helpful - thank you!

Congratulations!
