The images clearly show that there is safe ingress/egress and it’s not a road. There is no reason to deny based on access.
There is no appeal button in wayfearer but this wasn’t denied properly.

I don’t see any rejection reasons in your screenshot. Do they show up if you refresh the page? I see you saw “Unsafe Access” somewhere, but wanted to be sure there were not more reasons.
From researching this area, my guess is that it was rejected as a duplicate or as not distinct from the memorial already in game here
Thank you for responding, but unfortunately I think this is a case of malice and spite rather than actual objective reviewing. I have to wait for the button to reappear in my account. We have been having a lot of problems with this lately. It’s sad.
That location appears to be in the middle of a traffic roundabout. Whilst it obviously is intended for people to stand there, Niantic is very picky about things that are in the middle of roundabouts. They like to see a safe and marked crossing point to the centre from the outside. There are no such markings here, and even if the roundabout is low traffic, you can still see from street view and satellite view that it is used by vehicles.
I have no idea if they’d make an exception for this, given that people are obviously intended to be able to stand there, but typically I wouldn’t expect them to do so.

This appears to be more of a driveway than a road though, but it looks like it is a cemetery? I wanted to be sure that was the only rejection reason before encouraging either resubmitting or appealing. It also looks like this location will not be eligible to show in pokemon go if that is a concern for the op, unless i am not at the right place on the map.

It looks like quite a significantly sized area with it, and its got benches around it, so clearly intended for people to spend time in the area regardless of if there is a road around it. And probably is a driveway indeed, likely with a pedestrian friendly low speed limit?
I think unsafe access is a bit much - its clearly intended for pedestrians to use. Common sense should say it is safe enough

I am not looking for Pogo movement. It’s under a gazebo which is why pedestrian access is absolutely safe. With benches and chairs off the road.

Okay then you may want to try to resubmit then. I usually try submitting a couple of times before using an appeal anyway.
I can’t see a gazebo at all in either of your photos. I think the main photo is fine, but I would probably take it straight from in front. For the supporting, you need to take a photo from further back that shows the sculpture as well as the pedestrian access to it, since you know that was an issue for reviewers. Good luck with the resubmit if you do!

Yeah maybe a much wider angle on the support picture will help show that the area is safe and a place people are intended to spend time?

As I say, I personally think it seems like it’s intended for people to stand there. My comment was more what I expect to happen if this nomination is appealed, because we know what Niantic are like.

oh i absolutely agree with you! am thinking a resubmit is what i would try first.
This appears to be a cemetery that is in use.
It seems inappropriate and insensitive to nominate something, in a place where people will be mourning the loss of someone and burials taking place.
I think rejecting under sensitive location seems appropriate.

the op says it is a park. i thought it looked like a cemetery, too, but took their word for it. i would also reject for sensitive location if it is a cemetery.
