It is more than discouraging when corrections of obvious spelling mistakes are rejected by “the community”. I experienced this several times now, and it makes me stay a from making any further suggestions or trying to improve the game. It is just frustrating and a waste of time!
The last case I encountered was a wayspot in Dortmund, Germany, which depicts a mural on a sports house. The correct German title for this would be “Sporthaus-Mural”. However, it actually reads “Sporthaus Mural”. This means something quite different: a sports house called “Mural”. I suggested a correction, but that was rejected – of couse without any reasoning and without any option to appeal. Frustrating!

Welcome to the forum @LiquidMetal
This won’t make it any less frustrating, but you will be able to appeal. You get two appeals, each on a 20 day timer until you get it back and can use it again.
Sounds promising, @cydiepooh! Hopefully it will be possible to bring forward arguments and counter-arguments, like I did above, because otherwise it would be pointless. Oh, and “will be” means that this is something in the future, right? Will be be possible to revise old cases?
Yes there is no limit on how old the rejection was that you appeal. You are only limited by having just 2 appeals and the 20 day timer they are on.
[Be sure to completely explain what is wrong and why it needs to be corrected in case of language issues with the appeals reviewer.]
Thanks! This has the potential to absorb and safely dispose all my frustration. Looking forward to it!
