Dilema....Should I progress this nomination?

Should I submit this nomination (with the respective Title & Description edit), or should I forget about it and cry myself to sleep?

My main concern is the coloured powder that is on the table, which is used for Chess or whatever game that the table supports, but it is obscured.

I can go back some other time to take a better picture, but it’s not exactly a 5 minute walk to get to this location from where I live. Thoughts?

Are you hurting for nominations? You could try it like this and then go back if reviewers don’t like it.

We do have the Festival of Colors event going on in Pokemon Go right now, so would be a fun time to submit it.

My OCD got the better of me yesterday and went to the park to submit nominations I couldn’t see on the intel map. I’ve been past the park a few times… so did a recon of the whole park in 1 swoop. This table isn’t too far into the park, but not sure if it’s worth going back to just submit this. But saying that, I know there is a memorial bench not far from there that needs to be resubmitted as my original attempt turned out to be blurred after I looked at it.

I’m bored so I would call this:- “Concrete Sports Battle Zone”

Description:- An Open Air Outdoor Battle Zone Table where multiple Tabletop sports can be played of any style and it’s colourful too.

Let us know how it goes @P1dg3ySlayer

Who said draughts has to be in black and white

I would reference the festival of colours and also point out you can see the checkerboard and its the UK it will be back to boring normal with the next shower.

Title it “Colourful chess table”

That would be an ML rejection reason. :grimacing:

How do you mean?

I was just kidding. I don’t want to confuse the ML or the reviewers and give a reason for a rejection if I can avoid it.

Let us know what you decide :crossed_fingers:

I’ll put it into the queue. If I get banned, I’ll blame it on the table!

I would wait to get a clean photo of the chess board top. As a single table, this would have a hard time being approved. But as a designated spot for people to meet up to play chess or checkers, this should be an easy acceptance.

However, the chessboard is obscured in the photo. My rule of thumb is to not make reviewers work to understand or see the object. A great photo of the chessboard tells its own story.

Then after it is approved, you could add this photo so people see it during this festival. Lots of people add photos in other countries to show wayspots decorated for holidays.

Grab a bucket and a sponge and go to work.

Fair point. But I am wondering if the nomination should be about it being a spot to play games at that spot rather than for Ches / Checkers? Not saying you don’t have a valid point, and that was one of my concerns… but am hoping that the reviewers could see past the issue of the paint / powder at the same time.

I can send you the co-ordinates as you are kindly volunteering.

I had to clean a park sign once after multiple rejections for bad picture quality. It wasnt the photo that was bad, it was a dirty sign :upside_down_face:

You are a brave person. I don’t know how people in the area where my nomination is located would take to people cleaning up the mess.

I’ve nearly always got a bottle of water and a microfibre cloth in my bag

I’m not that organised. I tried to clean a sign once, and ended up with skin erosion for about 3 months.
