Disc Golf Course as one or multiples

I would rather see a ruling to say the disc hole markers only, or baskets only, also considering each "hole"may have multiple places baskets can be placed for a more difficult par.

There are substantial disc golf courses that spread several miles, in which case i would call those comparable to walking trails and not a single track course.

Just learned that polls can be made on this forum. I realize that the results of the poll don’t matter but it would be nice to see how people feel about it. Giving a 90-day time on poll to allow opportunity to vote.

How should disc golf courses be submitted?
  • Only a single POI for an entire course.
  • A POI for each hole’s tee.
  • A POI for each hole’s basket.
  • A POI for each basket and tee.
  • Depends on the size of course or location.

This exact question has been answered by NianticTintino: “This means there should be one wayspot.”

Could have asked different question, though: “What or how many spots per disc golf course do you consider safe, appropriate, distinct locations that are great places to exercise, explore, or socialize?” This question is also known as, “Do we really have a reason to say no if someone, not familiar with what Tintino clarified, submits multiple points?”

The recently published clarifications have taken time to consolidate and produce. The Wayfarer Team drew on feedback from Ambassadors. Specific topics like Golf/Disc Golf drew on previous clarifications and discussions that the wider community was part of.
It is not helpful to try and draw one of the other areas of clarification (trail markers) into this discussion. Each of these topics was given its own defined heading because each needed it.
Overall the important point that repeatedly occurs in debates is that we are teasing out specific instances from underlying principles, and those as they apply to this case, have been reiterated above.

It is inevitable as with all clarifications that not everyone is going to be happy with the outcome. That’s just the way it is. Please accept these clarifications and use them.

I would go with

  1. Sign for the course covers the entire course, if there isnt one

  2. Tee 1 is the waypoint tk cover the entire course.

But, can allow and extra one if theres soemthjng really cool about the a specific hole
