To be fair, they’ve never really explained what they mean by “use the app.” Is downloading it and looking at it “using” it? What if you are a developer, but also play the games? If people look at it but don’t submit anything or download the data, do they care?

It’s ok we can sort it out of needs be.
In June 2023 is when theytold us they were scrapping it and “would not be releasing it to the wayfarer community.” Before then, it was still in Beta. They had annpunced plans to have a full release to the Wayfarer community, but reversed that decision.
The more important thing is the actual terms of use. Not what a folks ask people to do.

I respectively disagree. I was responding in the same timeframe and I have similar concerns with recommending the app to folks without much background. To be perfectly fair, I love when folks with the app can check the map and give detailed feedback to folks.
But I do believe it was your recommendation to someone that derailed the conversation. I do think it would bring much more confusion to folks if they start downloading the app now.
Though this does bring up a good question of an accessible map that shows all wayspots. Which I would love to chat with you and others about in another thread!
