Good for ya! Glad you enjoy it
As a person with disabilities, it is impractical, and I have everything I need to review online, so I don’t have to trek around and worry about my health.
It’s also impractical as it could increase the timeframe that it takes for nominations to be decided upon by the community. Some already think a couple weeks is too long for a non-upgraded nomination or edit to go through voting.
Also, you expect me to travel hundreds of miles to review an upgraded nomination in-person? That could be an even bigger waste of time and money for reviews, and could lead to more expensive experiences in-game.
I think reviewing in person would make the gap between rural and sub/urban a bottomless chasm.
As you part of the community I would never ever expert people with disabilties to that task. But the ones who can freely move could do it.
There are lots of people who live in non urban areas. Don’’t look down on them.
I won’t be aswering any more replies to this theard. Working for free does not mean wanting to get paid. I just asked a simple question, my answer is yes! It feels like a non paid job that you voluntarily sign up for. Because you obviously want it, nontheless it feels like a no reward game hence my doubt.
SeaPrincess is making the point that those places currently struggle with finding ebough reviewers as it is. If it wasnt for their nominations getting pushed to reviewers further out, challenges and helpful reviewere setting their home and bonuses to help out… they’d be burried deep in unresolved nominations. Which your idea would not help.
I enjoyed this topic. Thanks for bringing it up.
And that is why the “Company” should rely on workers who are paid to do their jobs and not rely on how god knows so many engaged players who could never get that job done
Oh they did actually send staff out to validate and correct wayspots once. It was a disaster! I need to see if I can find old posts about that.
I bet they did. Never knew about it! Anyways, as it seems now having pkayers doing that job is like the same. It takes forever. Honestly there is only a few players willing to take the task seriously because of the reasons I have stated.
How practical do you thinknit will be to send people all over the world as nee nominations pop up? The backlog wouldn’t be 700 days, it would be 700 years.
I dont know what you would consider a few, but theres a huge community or wayfarers around the globe that enjoy doing this and take it very seriously.
Never said they don’t enjoy it , I actually do it. Don’t get caught in the impossibility idea. It can be done, 700 years or less.
Please use the translate button. You are misunderstanding most of what is written in English.
Who is this message for?
I enjoy seeing different places while reviewing. Nominators from thousands of miles away show me interesting things. It’s like a free online travel guide.
I’ve learned about history, art, and more. Duckpin bowling, pickle ball, gaga ball - all I first heard of by reviewing (years ago).
Sure. there are awful nominations. (I don’t care about a random apartment sign.) But I hope that they’ll learn from the rejection and try again with something valid.
And if you review the bottomless chasm long enough, in person, the abyss will also gaze into you.
Niantic is not a non profit organization and they expect (not push of course) the players to play the game, make micropurchases and then! Work to keep the game running. It does not make sense to me.
Any time
