Does the satellite map affect your decision

Yes and No. So I tend to look at the background of the POI. If I can match it up and it looks like a new object that meets criteria then yes Ill accept it.

I’ve had similar circumstances to this in newly built up areas when submitting. I’ve taken to using an app that adds a GPS location into the image for my supporting photo (as well as techniques like yours of showing something existing in the background/surrounding area). I’ve found that the geotagged photos have really helped in getting nominations accepted when they’ve been in woodland and tree-covered areas as well.

In Switzerland, typically, You can see that Google have three years of satelitte photo late…

Now the reality : The number 3 are the better with search.ch But they missing some trees…

I can understand that some wayfarer say : I don’t know…

When many people say I don’t know the better decision will be to ask another photos in 360° to the creator of the portal… But this is not the case…

For example : A portal was published but not in the good location… 50 meter as the zero point…
