Double standards?

Hello. I nominate 1.5 moth ago one wayspot but is not accepted.
My nomination is a horse painted on the stone. In this village is many stones like this.
One of them is in the game, it was accepted, but my was not. Tell me why?

This is my nomination:

And there is wayspot accepted and avaiable in game:

My nomination (the stone) is visible on Google Street, but photos are old and horse is not painted there yet.
The stone is located at the entrance to the forest parking lot.

The question is. What can I do?

Nominations are looked at by 3 different sources. 1) Niantic Staff 2) Niantic AI 3) Community Voters.

So it’s possible 1 nomination gets in one way, and another fails a different.
Community Voters are also random subgroup of the community so the 1 that made it into the game, might have got lucky with more voters saying Yes than No, while you got an unlucky subgroup of Nos. You could appeal the No, or Try again.

Another possibility is the other similar POI did a better job in description or especially the supporting info you don’t see or share … to convince voters than you did

Another possibility is that the other POI was in the game before the current standards of Gather/Socialize & Exercise & Explore took hold and wouldn’t be accepted in 2024.

Long Reply Short.

  1. Existing POI aren’t perfect for telling is a New POI is acceptable. How is new one Gather/Socialize or Exercise or Explore Worthy
  2. You can appeal or Try again

I think it’s because they’re made with stencils. Those stencils can be reused somewhere else - so reviewers feel a particular copy is not distinct.
