Editing mismatched location for portal (>400m)

Hi,

I’ve recently got back into playing Ingress and I’ve found a couple of portals that I think have been intentionally location mismatched (probably PoGo PoI for someone).

The problem is that in Ingress I can’t move the portal to the correct location since it’s more than 15 m since the correct location is at a distance of just over 500m.

I’ve tried also the Niantic Wayfarer but the edit limit range there is 400m.

How can I go about this? Try to remove the existing one and then add it to the correct location or move it gradually towards the right location?

When I see mismatched location it’s bothering, especially if I want to do some portal scanning in Ingress, so I try to adjust portals to correct location wherever I see them mistakenly or intentionally mismatched.

The best way to go about this would be to request that it is removed and then renominate the POI at the correct nomination. I can’t remember off hand if there is a form you can fill in to request the location move, or if you can use Live Chat for the same purpose.

You use the wayfarer help chat to request location edits for distances greater than you can do in game. There is a specific option for these edits where you provide the current details of the wayspot, suggest a more accurate location and provide supporting evidence.
