I found a fake submission in Norfolk, UK which was surrounded by other fake wayspots. Approximate map location is 52.67743,0.731887.
Public Bridelway - Sporle
2 Sporle Rd, King’s Lynn PE32 2DD, UK
Peddars Way is clearly marked, but this trail goes some way west of this point - https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/77958#map=15/52.67710/0.72666
This is part of a cluster that looks like someone’s back garden..
But wait, a picture for exactly the same wayspot lies a few metres away at 52.677371,0.73228 named Publin Birdleway sign
Fir Trail at 52.67743,0.731887 shows a wooded area not consistent with the back garden it is located in.
I can’t find the source wayspot for this, but I recognise a Forestry Commission sign when I see one and this one is from Thetford Forest - Thetford Forest - UK’s Largest Man-Made Lowland Pine Forest | BaldHiker which is about 15 miles away.
This sign for Santon Downham Circular Walk at 52.677901,0.7321makes no sense as Santon Downham is 18 miles away.
Yet another Peddars Way sign, Peddars Way - Public Bridleway at 52.67777,0.731746 is not visible on StreetView - https://maps.app.goo.gl/ehSetBf6VUebKtfm8
Finally, Acorn trail sign at 52.677763,0.732393 is clearly in someone’s back garden and not the forest in the picture, this too is marked Peddars Way which does not go through here.
Apart from the first one, all the other wayspots are in Lightship and the Ingress Intel map in case anyone else want to go hunting for fakes.
