Fake nomination! But it's not, it is real!

I don’t understand, I put up pics taken with my phone while I was standing there filling out the details, it is a new playground and I am so sad about this. I did an appeal but why on earth would they say it was fake??? The spot on the map is exactly on top of it too.
Edited to add the photo that I took for the submission

, in the appeal I linked to the official kommun article about it: Ny lekplats på Brahegatan i Bromölla - Bromölla Kommun

Welcome to the forum @PetuniaFigtree

Wayspot Appeals is not the right channel for this. You should move this to Nomination Support

It will help us give you advice on this nomination if you provide screenshots from your contributions page. There is no reason to worry about seeing “Fake” as a rejection reason if you did not receive any extra email from Niantic warning you for this. Since you have already appealed, you may want to wait and see what they say before trying again in a new submission.

Thanks, here is my appeal screenshot

That would convince me, and I don’t see any issues with school or other ineligible property. Let us know what they say!

Moved as suggested.

Thank you, I couldn’t see how to move it

Once posted you’re not able to do that on your own. But we’re happy to help here

If I were to guess why some people may have thought this was a fake nomination.

Did you have that link to the official article in your original supporting statement? If not, then the available data and view on google maps may have given reviewers some doubt if your supporting image amd statement didn’t help verify the location.

On a side note I would avoid using words like “new” in a title/description given how it would only be applicable temporarily.

Great tips! I was only able to get that corner of it in my picture as well, there have been kids in there nonstop since it opened - but very true, if i need to resubmit it (in case my appeal fails) then I will try to get a better angle for the picture and take away ‘new’ from the name. I also just noticed that I spelled the Swedish name of the park wrong, I put ‘loken’ instead of ‘loket’ but hopefully I can submit edit suggestions afterwards

I do have to wonder what your supporting info is. Are you willing to share that?

Also, the title isn’t great; titles should be more accurate to where the playground is located, such as a park or certain neighborhood.

I would have nominated the playground again, and if you are happy with the photos, download them and reuse them (you have taken the photos, so they are ok to use), maybe the area looks better now when the spring is coming and new photos is anyhow valid.

I have written a proposal in Swedish but don’t copy paste. make sure to also have at least the link you provided above to the supportive text, but you could also add the linked pdf.
The title is obvious, since the playground has the name “Loket”, (Locomotive)

Titel:

Lekplats Loket

Description:

They can’t use anything that someone else types up, as that would be considered 3rd party, but there is some good info here. We should only offer suggestions, not full write-ups of title/description/supporting info. Copy/pasting others info could be seen as abusive, and is against the guidelines, too.

  1. Ineligible text or description
Title and/or description seems copied and pasted from other sources, includes emojis, tags, or personally identifiable information such as codenames, personal names or initials, or addresses.

@PetuniaFigtree Keep in mind that you can use any language you are most comfortable with Wayfarer; English is not required, so if you are more comfortable with another language, feel free to use that. You are welcome to use any languange here in the forums, as well.

Oh, of course… silly me - didn’t think of it.

Thanks for the reminder and clarification for all others.

@PetuniaFigtree use my text as inspiration. So it’s not denied due to a copy past issue.

Thank you, I am fluent in Swedish but I prefer English on pokestops because most people here understand English, and tourists and immigrants often don’t speak Swedish.

You don’t need to take in account who may use the Wayspots. As long as the info is accurate, regardless of the language, that’s what’s important.

We have Wayfarers here that have traveled to locations where they don’t speak the language, but they find new Wayspots to submit. They submit them in the language they’re most comfortable using, even if the people in that area don’t always speak/read the language.

This is true. Wayfarer allow it. But to certain extent it will prolong the review process. If i find wayspot that being submitted in language that i am not familiar with, i “might” hit skip. Just like submitter have right to use any language they are comfortable with, reviewer also have right to review nomination with language that they are comfortable with. Just bear in mind of this consequences.

As a reviewer though, we have translators we can use. Chrome has Google Translate built into it, so if I get a review in another language, it’s easy to use that function to see what is written and vote on it. There are other translators out there as well that are used by reviewers, and other browsers may have built-in translators as well.

We do have global review challenges from time to time, and you usually are reviewing nominations and edits in a few different languages. Because of this, having a translator on hand is helpful for reviewing.

Supporting info? It only allowed me to take one photo of the place, one photo of surrounding area, and description so it just said that it was a newly renovated playground. I have seen each item from other playgrounds approved as separate stops, and some were just ‘sandbox’ in the title and description so I didn’t want to overdo it. It’s a playground, a very nice one  I didn’t have that link in the original submission, at the time I submitted it the article wasn’t written. I have been waiting 3+weeks for ‘voting’

English is my native language. I speak fluent Swedish but I submitted it in English with the Swedish name of the playground (albeit wrongly spelled lol)

Supporting info is the Supplemental Information section in Contribution Management when viewing a nomination, just under the location info. We tend to refer to it as supporting info/supporting photo, as it’s the info you provide to support your nomination, and the photo that shows the nomination with the surrounding area, so it can be placed on the map properly by the reviewer.

Your screenshot just included the title, description, main photo, and location, and many times, to fully assess a nomination, it can help to provide the supporting photo/info as well. Here’s what it looks like from a nomination that I did last yea for a picnic shelter at a rest arear:

While creativity is not a requirement, it is encouraged. Accuracy is more important than creativity, and it is a new playground, so the title is fine in terms of accuracy. Whenever I nominate playgrounds, I tend to name them after where they are located; the last one I submitted was at a local church, so I included the church’s name in the title along with playground.

Have you been waiting 3 weeks for the appeal, or did it take 3 weeks for it to be rejected by the community? 3 weeks isn’t that long of a time to receive a decision from the community, as some have waiting months, even years. There’s no set timeframe for when a decision will be made, and the number of votes needed isn’t disclosed either. It really depends on the number of reviewers in your review area. This info is stated in the Wayfarer FAQ:

How many reviews does it take to make a final decision on a Wayspot’s eligibility?

This exact number cannot be disclosed at this time, however, we can say that this depends on the performance of each individual Wayfinder.
