Fitness Gym in area classified by Openstreetmap as a school area

Would the system reject a Fitness Gym nomination instantly based on it be classified being in a school zone or worth trying?

We don’t know exactly how the automated process works. If you know that this is on the campus of a school for children, don’t submit it. If it is a school meant for adults then the location is fine.

Primarily teenagers, there is adult education signs, and there is a pre-school, the gym is accessible from the car part without entering the school.

The gym is an independent business

This says it is a community college. Those are not considered a K-12 in the US. I would submit a gym here.

I just looked this up and in the UK community college may mean something else. Will defer to others.

Hi Cyndie, this is in the UK and there is isnt the same definition. A classisc case of different countries using the same words but different meaning. This one would be considered as Under 18 focused

When you refer to the gym do you mean the leisure centre or whereabouts on the map?

Ty! deleted the posts that could have been misused later.

Yes the leisure centre, just off the car park

This a complicated one and a fairly typical scenario in the UK .
The local council (WSCC) owns all the land. There is the education facility - mainly under 18 but with adult education too - older 1960/70 buildings and alongside that a modern large leisure centre for the whole community has been built.
The leisure centre is open from 7am-10pm ( so not school hours) and there are facilites that adults use throughout that time frame. It also appears by inference that one or two sports halls are used by the college as they are only available outside of school times. This is their school time priority area, The overwhelming majority of the building is open and intended for use by anyone and people are free to come and go. So the building does not appear to be part of the school, they simply appear to have an arrangement to use the facilities - not unlike other places I know of where the children have a longer supervised walk or short bus ride to get to the exercise place.
I think no one would bat an eyelid at someone walking to the centre whatever time of day as that will be normal and the carpark will be adults (Under 18s travel on foot or by bus ) and the school (apart from the reception area) lies beyond that building.
If you submit you will need to address this and back up with evidence from websites and it could go either way if it is considered too integrated.
Its a tricky one

Thank you, i’ll have to do my research like you said.

I would completely understand if it was rejected. Was curious to see if it would be instantly rejected, i also understand there is also a bias against gyms as generic business.

Might try at the weekend if i have a spare nomination
