Friends? Community?

You are anything but a friend. I have submitted three times. The last one is the best so far. I don’t know how you cannot consider it a good location. It’s in a park. There are basketball courts swing sets picnic tables other stops. It doesn’t affect a grid. It’s walking trails biking trails right by gyms down the street. It’s just I don’t know. Do you want money? Is that what you want? I mean, I give you an awful lot, but I don’t understand you. :grimacing:

Welcome to the forum!

I understand that you are upset right now. If you would like to post screenshots of a rejected nomination, we can try to give you feedback on it.

Hey there, Im sorry to hear that. If you share with us what you submited, we could help guide you, sometimes rejections are over minor things that can be easily fixed, like photo angle.

Thank you for your response. Perhaps if I showed you the screen shots of the stops and why it makes perfect sense? The first screenshot will show all of the stops that are within the park itself and the second screenshot will show another angle that literally has a stop on another entrance sidewalk. Then in the distance you can see the gym at the Marriott Hotel. I walk this route with six trainers nearly every day. And this is the only entrance to this park that doesn’t have a stop. (It also happens to be right across from my condominium. In Minnesota it is super cold! I was wishing for a stop at that entrance all winter long. )

No, we don’t need to see the screenshots of the current game play locations, we need to see what you nominated and the rejection reason. And I live in the upper Midwest, so I do wish I had a play location at my apartment building or close by.

You can view your nominations in Contribution Management. It’s possible if there was another sign for the park already in the database, it could have been rejected as a duplicate.

Also, even if you get your nomination approved, it may not appear in-game. What we are doing is submitting POIs to be Wayspots, not adding stops/gyms to PoGo. Each approved Wayspot is added to the database map, and each game uses the map to determine game play locations, based off of density/inclusion rules. PoGo uses S2 cells, while Ingress uses a 20 m rule. More info on S2 cells and PoGo can be found here:

https://pokemongohub.net/post/featured/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/

We dont submit wayspot because its convenience to some people. We submit wayspot as per its eligibility.

I will retake the pictures then and submit them in this thread. The only reason I gave you the screenshots is so that you could see virtually every single entrance to that exact same park has a pokestop and hence my reasoning for the basis of its validity. If 3 entrances to the exact same park with a basketball court, a playground, picnic tables, walking and bike trails are all “good” and “suitable” locations, how is this less suitable? This particular entrance is more suitable than others already approved because it is much more traversed. It is in between four residential properties. Whereas I’ve approved, is on the freeway frontage road.

I suggest you share your rejection screenshot. From rejection reason we can work on how to improve. We can see how supporting information is compiled

These photos you shared are of an apartment sign. I fail to see how this meets criteria posted here: Niantic Wayfarer

Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria

  • A great place for exploration
  • A great place for exercise
  • A great place to be social with others

Being in a gap in game locations it would be convenient to fill does not make it a great Wayspot. Try to look around for anything else keeping exploration, exercise, or being social in mind.

Yep, like I said, I wish there was a Wayspot at my apartment building, but not even I consider the sign to be eligible. I don’t see anyone socializing at it, exercising at it, or of it being anything to explore. There may be other places at the apartment building that may be eligible, such as a picnic area, playground, dog park, fitness center, etc; my apartment building has none of these.

Yes, there may be some apartment buildings or neighborhood signs with Wayspots in the games, but don’t base what is and isn’t eligible off of what you currently see in-game. Most likely the community at the time decided they were eligible and approved them, but these days, most see signs like these are indistinct, unless they have something unique included, like a water fountain or statue, something else that’s eligible.

You may want to review the Wayspot Criteria to get a better understanding of what may or may not be eligible. You can also check out the Criteria Clarification Collection for more examples
