you can buy these in packs. As I kid years ago I would get them or even make my own and stick on school books, folders, etc etc just use a printer.
Someone in one suburb someone is going round sticking these up. Even putting screws in some of them.
Do I accept or just pretend I did not seem them… Thoughts
A search says these are not from the council (but nothing is 100%). They are being placed on council property or transport authority property
Just got two in a row to review. And I was like. Woa… And there was a case not so long ago of someone faking these in this area. And this might be one of those.

Benches need to have a story about why they are important. (And the people they represent.)
If they don’t have they, I reject them.
I would suspect that such fakes would not have a good story to go with them.

Definitely submit an abuse report with the nomination info when you come across things like this. I had 1 recently where I noticed someone was making fake duplicates of nearby benches. After filing a report on the 3 I saw I was told they ended up taking action on a total of 13 wayspots so they might even find more than what you include in your report during their investigation.

Yeah, I don’t see how a bench in New South Wales is distinct because it has a plaque with lyrics from a George Harrison written song on it. What’s his connected to NSW exactly?
And yes, these are mass produced and can be easily purchased online. They may not even be marketed to be plaques on benches; I’ve seen many marketed as keychains, dog tags, jewelry, etc, on sites like Amazon and eBay.

Pretty new to reviewing but there’s so many in that suburb! It’s clogging up the feed honestly. (I think) the same person is also putting up fake street signs in that suburb, one says haunted (it’s red) one green one I think says sunset blvd. It’s pretty egregious honestly. Maybe one, I could forgive but the amount is ridiculous, I’ve started reporting some and rejecting the others as abuse
