35k people is quite a lot of people.

  • Stopping an event regardless of what the queue looks like is probably something to never do ever again.
  • Give a better notice than less than a day ahead of the event.
  • Dont adjust the tiers until after the fact with any issues.

But there’s not going to be one until after the Scopely acquisition?

But will there be a list of the ranking of who has done the most reviews?

Does that really matter, other than to have bragging rights? No, no it doesn’t.

There was already some negative posts regarding people that managed the top tier then continued in the original challenge to clear the backlog.

This was on the flawed assumption that if people who reached this target was getting nothing extra but stopping others reaching their targets. (Not an Ingress player but I am led to believe that they would get something in game for the extra reviews).

A ranking table would just increase the chance of this.

You know how many you did and that is all that matters.

Trust me, no extra rewards if you make more. It was just a personal curiosity, since the other times there had always been the ranking

Everyone had their own goals towards this challenge, but if they went against other players it still remains as The word "a challengeThe word “a challenge”

I requested that they NOT do this because of anticipated backlash, and Tintino replied that they would not this time.

Ok thanks for the clarification

As I said, not an Ingress player but definately remember someone replying to a complaint as they had gome way above target that the amount went towards something in that game…

There was nothing extra being given other than the rewards that staff posted would be given. Most likely this misinformation was going around outside of the forums, and it’s incorrect. We could only reach tier 3 in both community and individual rewards.

Yes, in the past, there have been times when a tier 4 for rewards have been added, but it’s rare. For this challenge, the individual tiers were adjusted, so those that were unable to reach tier 1 could now possibly qualify.

I also agree with the possible backlash that those in the top ten could possibly get, as some just naturally do that many reviews during a challenge, while others may have really challenged themselves, especally with both nominations and edits being involved. Some that have made the leaderboard in past challenges do post here, and I wouldn’t want them to get any backlash for just taking to the challenge like they’ve done in the past.

A “Wayfarer Badge” ???

Again, this is misinformation, not something that was ever posted here in the forums. Someone most likely said this outside of the forums, or if they did note it here, were told that it wasn’t true.

Regardless of the game, all players want more rewards than what Wayfarer gives out for challenges. There are always disgruntled posts after the rewards list is released.

Both games have badges for agreements received, and they do not need to get them during a challenge. In PoGo, the top tier is earning 1500 agreement. In Ingress, the top tier is 10,000 agreements. Again, these agreements do not need to come from participation in a challenge, just reviewing in general.

You’re probably talking about me :joy: As there are medals on PoGo, there are also on ingress and this was the last chance to have her at the maximum level. But it didn’t lead to any extra advantage, only aesthetic
How to get all medals by total number of pokemon caught

Esatto medaglia che dopo 10.000 è livello massimo e non sapendo se era possibile farla aumentare successivamente, ho dato un bel boost

The Recon badge is still giving out ticks for agreements received, as I’m still getting them for agreements on nominations. It hasn’t been removed from Ingress yet, just the ability to nominate and submit edits. The Recon badge is not dependent on Wayfarer challenges, just agreements received at any time.

Also, edits do not count towards agreements, so if you did a lot of edits during the challenge, like I did, this will not increase your agreements and increase your badge.

Yes I know that the challenge is not related to the Recon medal, but not knowing if tomorrow, wayfarer would increase Recon, I did a boost

I think staff would let us know if and/or when the Recon badge would be retired, and nothing has been said about it yet.

With the last four global challenges, a unique Ingress badge (OPR Live) got +1 if the agent reached the top tier. It is listed in the Challenge rewards list at the beginning of each challenge.

This is not the same as the Ingress Recon badge that gets +1 for every agreement, year-round.
