Got first strike for a pinned location

I’m not squeezing the submission to try to fit in, I correctly pinned it, I would accept if it’s rejected but I got a warning for it which could cost me my account. If it happened to you I’m sure you would do the same.

I tried nominating now see it’s still shows the same pinned location.

I’m here at the place itself and used the back entrance too which you can just push because at the end of the day it’s at the road you can’t leave the gate open or it will block the road

If it’s not used as back entrance, why still renovate it?

The Google maps is back 2017, outdated. I’m here now showing you the present cafe. Still has back entrance. And certainly not for employees.

If you’re sitting near the back entrance because the Café is L Shaped of course it will be there.

We can see in this image that the “Chopping Burgh” sign is gone, but from this angle we cannot see the area where “Chopping Burgh” entrance used to be.

The other images you provided show that the interior of the “8th Street Cafe” has changed significantly, but do not enough to proof the expansion to the space previously occupied by “Chopping Burg”. If the store is not inconvenienced, you may wish to take a video of the entrance from the commercial entrance to the interior of the café and send it to the staff member who filed the appeal. And if you haven’t sent in your appeal yet, you may want to do so now, using the email form now.

However, please also read the following criteria regarding pin locations when proposing a way spot. As mentioned above, the best and most natural location for the pin is at the entrance to the cafe.

Maybe I am missing something with the conversation but heres a few opinions.

  • Shouldn’t any waypoint be positioned at the natural entry to it, in this case the main entrance?
  • The rear entrance looks like an “Unsafe Location”?
  • If the Cafe already has a waypoint at the sign, shouldn’t this be a Move Location and not a new nomination?

There’s another Café which is also nominated by me. Valley bean cafe got approved.
It’s not unsafe because if it was it should have been closed down for being unsafe.
And sorry because when I nominated it I opened the nominations directly made a nomination no longer moved the pin as I was confident I was in the correct location.

U need to bring all this to appeal team not to us. I believe you need to prove that its back entrance. Taking multiple photo/video entering backdoor would help

I have a video but I can’t see where to upload

Here’s the part where chopping burgh used to occupy.

You cant put video here. U need to put it else where and put the link here

Okay, it’s because I wanted to make sure first and at the same time get an opinion.
I wanted to know where did I go wrong so I thought the community can help me out by writing here.

“Safe” in real life is different to “safe” in Pokemon Go. Remember, Criteria states you should be able to stand at the waypoint, would it be safe for a group to stand doing a raid in the road?

What raid? It’s not my ambition to make it a gym as we have already in our school. out of good faith I nominated it and also the surrounding areas nearby like the Huwa and Valley bean I just want to contribute nothing more.

That doesn’t mean that it might not become a Gym at some time?

We already have a gym on the school and it’s sufficent to raid there. All my other contributions are accepted and were never marked abuse. So I wanted to know what went wrong. If it won’t be a wayspot okay, nevermind but why mark it abuse.

It wont. Just to be clear

I can’t say anything about the warning, I was just mentioning why it would probably be correctly rejected (in my opinion). It is down to staff who have made the decision that it warrants a warning.

Not 100%, the other wayspot could be removed, this then is eligible. Unlikely but possible.

Waypoint should still be safe for 1 person to stand whilst reacting with a stop.

Okay I wrote already an appeal.

We would certainly not play at the road we would certainly stay at the food park or the cafe itself.

Unfortunately, Wayfarer does not see it that way.

Example: In the UK we often have traffic roundabouts that have art in the middle. Would be safe to play from the pavement but because it isn’t safe to reach the POI it is rejected as not safe.

Personally I would suggest appealing the warning stating that you was not trying to gain an advantage in game but thought you was just improving the map data.

I would not try to appeal to get this POI in game at the said location.

Good luck.

Yeah but a stop can be reached from different angles and not just that part we will not endanger ourselves for the game.
