I nominated 8th Avenue Café and pinned it as where it should be because at the maps it appears at the entrance of Joselina’s Food Park whereas it is really at the inner most portion of the food park.
What appears on the maps is the entrance of the food park and signages and not the café itself as you can see.
I’m an avid customer of this cafe and when I nominated it I was there so I pinned it where it should be so I don’t understand why it is marked abuse when I really pinned it at the correct location?
I have no intention to violate or abuse wayfarer policy and have been contributing to the best of my abilities but if this misjudgment would cost me my Pokémon account, I would stop.
Your submission photograph
Your supporting photograph which confirms the location of the cafe
Did you put the wayspot submission at the the google maps marker in the last images you sent, partway down Magallanes St and directly aganst the edge of the road?
You can explain that you are trying to pin it at back entrance. As far as i know the cell ald have its own wayspot, so its not attempt to put wayspot in empty cell. The back entrance is not showing anything. So it doesnt look like entrance for customer. More like employee entrance. You must realize that this really look like you are attempting to missplace the wayspot.
Based on the IITC map, it looks suspiciously like the submission location is just beyond the 20m limit of the POI already in that area and not where the cafe actually is. There is no back entrance visible on streetview.
Anyway if this is 1st trike from abuse ladder system, you should appeal in the link from email. Next strike means you will have 1 month ban and unable to play pogo and wayfarer
But u nd to give compeling evidence that its really back entrance
I believe that this link provides some context and may strengthen your argument that your pinned location is the correct location for the café (as opposed to the location shown on the map view).
We can indeed see that the café is located at the end of the inverted L shape of this commercial building. So, I apologize for the inconvenience, but could you please provide a screenshot showing the latitude and longitude to the sixth decimal place at the bottom of the receipt notification email you received when you proposed Wayspot? (Please make sure that your email address and other personal information is not visible when doing so.) Normally, the pin should be designated at the entrance to the cafe, but it is important that it is located inside the building.
From this image, it appears that the pin is located just at the southwest corner of the cafe space.
If you follow the 360 degree in from the road boundary line (i.e. past the business signage), you can see the café is located at the back of the food park as stated in the original query.
Sorry, as far as I can see, it looks like perhaps the location you specified is the southwest corner of the “Chopping Burgh” space." Not the location of the “8th Avenue Cafe”.
I think we need the op to confirm absolutely the pin location, as per @CrownFeather above, because we’re probably making different assumptions here. To me, the back of that 360, where the frontage of the cafe is clearly shown, does not assist with confirming whether the back entrance of the cafe is a legitimate pin, but does the opposite.
Please give me first the benefit of doubt it wasn’t my intention to be malicious or abuse the system I’m merely a student and this Café is my hangout place since 2017 and I only nominated it. There’s a gym in our school so why would I manipulate the wayfarer just to abuse it? It’s not my house or anything. And I believe it’s also a community friendly place that’s why I nominated it. Students come to the food park and the cafe to hangout and study
The Map in Google Map is outdated Chopping Burgh no longer exists and 8th avenue Cafe was 8th avenue coffee shop before and as you correctly pointed out, you got my point it’s at the inside portion. Would it help if I go there and take pictures?
The back entrance is a gate, if left open it would cause a nuisance because it’s exactly at the road so it is kept closed for safety purposes and right of way as people call it here in the law.
Thank you for returning. You may have to take this warning on the chin and be more careful in future, especially when trying to squeeze a submission in close to other ones and having to shuffle the location slightly to fit it in.
I understand the desire to get a good hangout spot as a wayspot, but placing the pin away from the actual location solely for game purposes /is/ abuse (*). I can’t tell if this would have created a pokestop/gym, because my Intel/IITC map is not currently showing the S2 cells (!?).
It’s OK to choose a location for a POI that is most likely to work well for the games, but it does have to be a legitimate location. For a cafe, the back entrance which looks like it isn’t used by any customers but is only for staff, and on streetview doesn’t look like it leads to the cafe, is not a legitimate location.
(*) I did this for some of my early submissions. I haven’t done it for a long time - if a POI is blocked, I move on.
Ma’am the Café is indeed L shaped I’m here at the Café to show you proof and I’m thankful you got my point.
The commercial building you mentioned is upstairs the Café is the first floor. I know very well because I’ve been here since 2017. It’s a Café that’s really stood the test of time.
