Hola a todos… Hago este nuevo tema porque estoy algo frustrada con la plataforma. Tuve un aviso de abuso que, hasta el día de hoy, no sé por qué me pasó. La persona que apelé dicha sanción me dijo que estaba bien aplicada y que lo tomara como una advertencia, y que no se podía seguir hablando de este asunto. Ahora tengo miedo de apelar los rechazos porque no quiero que me vuelvan a sancionar por intentar subir una pokeparada. Mi intención nunca fue romper las reglas de Niantic, y me parece frustrante la dureza de los rechazos cuando hay gente como yo, que hace pedidos de buena fe.
En estos días fui a uno de los cafés más históricos de mi ciudad, y me lo han rechazado porque “no es de interés cultural”. ¿Cómo es esto posible? Hasta en la misma foto dice que es de interés cultural. La cafetería reboza del arte de Buenos Aires (Capital), de sus paredes brota el aura de los años 60’s y encima está lleno de detalles de la pintura/arte Argentino. Quiero saber qué es lo que realmente no cumple con el criterio. Está en una esquina, es de interés cultural, está bien iluminado, ubicado en frente de una plaza, y demás.
De verdad estoy cansada de que revoten todas las propuestas, sin explicación, con proceso automatizado. ¿Realmente no cumple nada con las reglas? Adjunto además un zoom donde dice que es de interés cultural tanto la ventana como en el cartel de la puerta.
Es la única propuesta que tengo al menos una explicación del rechazo, y me es denegada por algo que se ve desde la foto. Si se fijan por Google el lugar es un museo básicamente, lleno de objetos históricos, figuras y hasta fotos de artistas famosos como comenté en la publicación.
Yo de verdad no logro comprender como un grafiti desgastado es una pokeparada nueva y cuando uno propone algo lindo como propuesta es rechazado sin explicación, y si apelás, sos denunciado por abuso, advertido y con el miedo que te baneen la cuenta.
Hago este post porque quiero saber si realmente está mal al menos esta propuesta, gracias.

Are you sure that this warning came from Wayfarer, as this was rejected most likely as a generic business, but looking into it, it isn’t; it’s quite a unique local restaurant, especially looking at it on Google Maps and their website. Local restaurants can sometimes be hard to get approved by the community, but this looks like one that I’d approved, just from the little I’ve seen so far.
You should have received 3 emails in regards to the warning with more info, including if it’s from Wayfarer, and if it’s connected to a certain nomination. If you haven’t receive the emails, staff may send you a DM with more info, and let you know if this is related to Wayfarer or one of the games.
No me denunciaron por esta propuesta, me denunciaron por otra. Sí, recibí todos los e-mails correspondientes del equipo de Wayfarer englobando que yo rompí uno o más criterios, y que tras una exhausta investigación decidieron que la advertencia para mi cuenta estaba justificada sin importar lo que yo les había comentado, básicamente me dijeron que era tema cerrado. A lo que voy ahora, es que me da miedo pedir apelación por este y por muchas propuestas rechazadas que tengo porque no quiero que la próxima vez que apele alguna propuesta me salga algún castigo. De igual manera, al revisar el e-mail de este histórico lugar, el rechazo es porque carece de singularidad o significado cultural. Gracias por tu comentario.
Yes, lacking uniqueness or cultural significance is what we believe is the reason given when someone rejects a nomination for being a generic business. It’s quite odd, but we’ve seen this as the reason for other businesses when they have been rejected.
A warning is asking that you do make sure that you are following the criteria and guidelines for any future nominations, as well as reviewing, and does not prevent you from taking part in Wayfarer. You may want to look over your rejected nominations alongside the criteria and guidelines to make sure that they do meet them, and, if they do, you shouldn’t have an issue with appealing them.
Like I noted, I would have accepted this restaurant, just from the info that’s available online, if I got it to review. It’s locally owned, has a very unique atmosphere and decor, and appears to be very popular, since ther are over 2000 reviews on Google Maps for it, and many photos uploaced for it there, too. And as I also noted, some reviewers see all restaurants as generic businesses, but this isn’t correct per the criteria, so a rejection isn’t always unusual.
Yes, there are many Wayspots in South America for graffiti that is vandalism, which doesn’t meet criteria and should be requested for removal, and this may be due to those in South America seeing them as eligible still when they haven’t been since they most likely were illegal painted.
If you feel comfortable with sharing the nomination that you received the warning for, we can take a look at it to see if there were any issues. And again, staff may reach out and DM you with more info about the warning if it is Wayfarer related.

Have your other rejected nominations already been uploaded when you received the warning for the one?
I asked this question because it’s common to get all outstanding nominations rejected if one of yours is flagged for abuse.
La propuesta la cual me advirtieron fue por un gimnasio femenino. Otra cosa que noté en mi ciudad como en otras es que hay muchos gimnasios y se hacen pokeparadas con cualquier actividad de ejercicio físico, mejor si es al aire libre, lo cual estoy de acuerdo. En esa fecha recién comenzaba a subir contenido a la plataforma por lo que mis fotos solían ser más desprolijas, es cierto, pero nunca me esperé que me dieran una advertencia de 24hs en todas las plataformas más el miedo de que en la 2da vez directamente sea un baneo. Yo no estoy de acuerdo con lo que me han enviado, puesto que mi intención era proponer dicha pokeparada porque es un lugar de salud y bienestar con aparatos que son novedosos en mi ciudad aparte de que es un lugar seguro para mujeres, pero bueno. Adjunto las capturas.
El reflejo de la ventana soy yo, lo de la izquierda es mi dedo y los autos no tienen patente. Como era una foto para los revisores la subí en crudo por así decirlo. No creo que mi propuesta tenga contenido abusivo o que ridiculiza a personas o grupos específicos. Lo peor es que la respuesta final de todo esto es que ponen una lista que al traducirlo al español es como “puede ser por” y no; “es porque x”. No tengo idea de por qué el sistema creyó que había hecho algo tan grave. Intenté subir esto a los días después en un foro pero me salía error y después de insistir por dos días, me rendí. Pero lo de esta cafetería me pareció muy injusto por eso pregunté por acá, porque no quiero que me vuelva a pasar algo así de nuevo. No quiero perderme la oportunidad de participar en la comunidad de Niantic ni de perder mis años de esfuerzo en sus distintas plataformas.
Así que si me pueden comentar cúales fueron mis errores, aparte de que subí una 2da foto muy desaliñada, les agradecería mucho… No quiero que esto me pase ni a mí, ni a nadie, fue angustiante.
The Screenshot of the Email suggest me that you put the location pin on the wrong spot. I have not checked this for myself, but somebody else probably will.

I find this odd that they are saying this fitness center was mislocated, as I see if on Google Maps around where you placed the pin. I even see the Muluc Patagonia that is just down the street, and listed on the map for the nomination. The fitness center is even on Street View from January 2025, as well as July 2024 and August 2023, so it’s not a new location. It may be off by about 15m, though, but reviewers would be able to move the pin to the correct location, as I believe 20m is the limit to move pins.
One thing I’m noticing with both of the nominations that you posted is that there’s no street address listed under the map, which there should be. I wonder if there’s an issue with those.
Fitness centers are considered great places to exercise, and may also be great places to be social with others, so they do meet criteria.

Sino está perfectamente ubicada no fue intencional. Uno como revisor puede sugerir una nueva ubicación en caso de que no sea totalmente exacta, me consta porque he estado participando de ello. ¿No hubiera sido una mejor opción antes de una advertencia? Insisto que recién comenzaba con esto de las propuestas.
Thanks. The submission location is 12m to the southeast of the actual gym, which has put it over the border into a neighbouring cell. What is curious is that /both/ cells are showing on Intel as being occupied, so this wouldn’t make it appear in Pokemon Go unless Calavera Negra has been removed.
There’s a limit to now far a pin can be moved during reviews, typically 20m. Like I noted, this is less than 20m away, so I think reviewers should have been able to move it, as well as the appeals team.
Como mencioné, recién comenzaba con esto y creía que se podían hacer pokeparadas una al lado de la otra. Después de este evento, me informé mejor y comprendí todo esto de las celdas. El problema es que recibí una advertencia severa por algo que no fue intencional.
Estuve viendo en Google Maps, y en la visión del mapa podría dar la impresión de que está mal ubicado pero, si se ve desde Street View se puede ver que está puesto justo en frente… Capaz que no lo cuenta por el patio delantero, no sé…
Yes, it does appear that Surtidor Shell Antiguo is the Wayspot for the L17 S2 cell that the gym is actually in, and Calavera Negra is in the cell to the east, so even if the gym was approved, it wouldn’t be eligible to be a stop/gym in PoGo.
It may be possible that staff thought you were trying to purposely misplace the gym, but I find it somewhat odd since the cells here are occupied. Here’s what they look like for reference:
