Good day guys! quick question.
So I have moved a current gym to another L17cell within the same L14 cell. After the sync earlier, the gym became a pokestop. I will attach the cell screenshot with details in it. Now there is a sponsored Gym in the L14 cell, but as far as I read through the discussions, it seems that it’s exempted from the rules. So I am wondering what caused the demote? do I need to add another wayspot or wait until the sponsorship ends?, any ideas?
I believe Sponsored gym is exempted from rule when its created (it wont change existing gym) but it still counted towards gym number when the cell recalculate due to location edit. When sponsored period end, i believe the gym will randomly selected from existing pokestop.

That is correct and I HATE this behavior.

Yep, I’d expect that gym option to be permanently gone now
The sponsored one basically gave you a bonus gym, but then when things recalibrated due to the edit, your bonus went away
