There is a gym which disapered and turned into a pokestop, it is very buggy, one day it is on the map the other day it isn’t| Location: 52.1616904, 10.5376073
We had 3 gyms in that area and now one is gone. I made a bunch off new pokestops and they got exapted but did not appear and I waited more then 48 hours on all of them! Hope that someone can fix that. The stop is called “Steinsäule” and maybe someone knows why the other new stops didn’t appear, they have enough distanc between each other and I hope that someone can help me!
If you need any proof it is still my highest gym with over 400 days off defending time.
There is also another gym right behind that, which disappered it is called “Haupteingang der Hauptkirche Beathe Mariae Virginis”. this one has been a pokestop for a longer time but original was a gym to if you need any proof off that I also have the Gym on gold rank.
You can also see that this S2 L17 cell is very full and thus you won’t get any new PokéStops there. Only one Wayspot per S2 L17 cell will become a PokéStop.
My guess would be that there was a location edit and the cell got “recalculated” with something else becoming the gym.
Thanks! you I just wanne say that the pokestop “Nebeneingang…” didn’t appear on the map regarding that it got added and the “Speilplatz” and the “alte Kirchglocke” are just powercells not stops. can You maybe look why the “Nebeneingang…” is not a pokestop and maybe tell me how I could fix the pokestop “steinsäule” so that we can get our gym back?
Appriciate your help!
Still have a question. Why are there multiple pokestops a couple hundrets of metters in every direction for example we got like 10 poestops close to each other which would mean that we shoul get a gym there, but there is non is there like a bigger thing behind that that you only get special playces as gym? Because that would explain why we have just a couple gyms with that many pokestops. Is there a thing that the pokestops have to met that they turn into a gym?
Thanks!
Each game has their own density/inclusion rules: PoGo uses S2 cells, while Ingress uses a 20 m rule. Only 1 stop/gym can be in a L17 S2 cell in PoGo, while gyms are determined based on the larger L14 S2 cells. More info on S2 cells and PoGo can be found here:
As you can see, this L17 S2 cell has 5 Wayspots in it, so only 1 will be in PoGo. Unfortunately, if are any locations edits to Wayspots, these may rebalance the map and move stops and gyms around. If you feel that the location is incorrect, you can request a location edit via help chat on the Wayfarer website.
