Can we swap location of Gym / Pokestops

I’ve successfully accepted 10 stops within a single S2 cell, but not all of them show up on the Pokémon GO map, even though they appear in Ingress Prime. Is there a way to inform Niantic that these stops should appear in Pokémon GO? Additionally, is there any way to swap a gym with a stop or turn a stop into a gym?

Welcome to the forum @Akki69

I keep this handy to try to help new explorers looking for their pokestops:

I know the prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the Lightship database, which can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. This is a good article about S2 cells and PoGo: https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/

That link also explains about when a Pokestop will become a gym. It is based on level 14 S2 cells, and happens at 2, 6, and 20 total. Three is all we can create per L14 through Wayfarer, but sponsored gyms (and stops) do not have to follow the cell rules.

But there is no pathway for swapping a stop with a gym.

Oh, realized I could have misread this:

if the stops are all in their own separate L17 S2 cells, then check for Wayspots that don’t show in Ingress by using the nomination map screen in Pokemon Go. iitc only shows portals.(Or someone here who has access to the database of all Wayspots could check if you post the titles and coordinates, but I can’t.) If there doesn’t seem to be any other Wayspot in the cell checking that way, there could be an issue. Either the property owner has asked for a geoblock in Pogo but not in Ingress - that used to happen a lot - or there could be something Niantic needs to adjust. Will try to find one of the “Dead cell” posts here and link it.
