I had a gym get approved and it was there for a couple weeks and then magically disappeared. just wondering how i could find out why, it’s close to a school but not on the property
You will need to leave the name of the Wayspot and the location (gps coordinates are the easiest to work with, but an approximation will do) for the team to look into this for you. If you are appealing the removal, this will probably be moved to Wayspot Appeals
Welcome @buckcommander95
If you post the details we can have a look, but it does sound as though some has reported it.
If you wish to appeal you can do, we might be able to give some feedback as to what the issue might be.
Thanks for the response both of you, the gym was Duffy Basketball Courts in west hartford CT. it is not on school property so i’m not sure why it is gone, me and my coworkers used it quite a lot and were sad to see it go after a few weeks thanks for any help!
I presume this is where it is
And the school is Duffy Elementary?
It seems unusual as entrances to the playing fields on King Road are clearly just open.
However there is a sign saying it’s a school and an older streetview has a sign saying not to use during school hours.
So if this is the case it’s school property and it is correctly removed.
Frustrating if it is available to all at times but the fact that it’s primarily for the use of the school means it’s not suitable as a wayspot.
Do say if it’s somewhere else
the 2 circles photos are different spots, the aerial view is not the basketball courts that the gym was, the circled one with the soccer nets was where the gym was, off of school property!
Was it still on the aerial view?
As the sign says that is school property.
If it is not school property ( and given Streetview is 2 years old) it is likely that this confusion is the issue.
If you appeal you are going to have to demonstrate clearly that this area is not school property. There may be a local website that will help demonstrate the situation. But you are going to need a good level of proof.
too close to school and I would normally reject it.
you can try to find another place far away from school and submit new gym.
Being close to a school is not a reject reason. Being on school property is.
