I recently reviewed the wayspot below. It was not obvious that it was a K-12 school in the map, plus there were a couple other wayspots already on the campus. When I looked up their website and facebook page, I found that it is a Public School Grade 6-12, so I rejected it as such. The community ended up disagreeing, and it appears in ingress. My question is how strict is Niantic about wayspots in schools? Should this and all of the other wayspots on the school campus be submitted for removal?
Schools website:
In my community, there is a walking trail through the woods by our high school. It is open to the public in evenings&weekends. Being on school property, there are ZERO(!) wild Pokémon spawns on that trail, except from an incense. It is because of that I suspect Niantic was pretty strict about schools.
I knew that looked familiar. I have reported portals on that campus for removal and Niantic has removed them. I guess they are resubmitting. Have you filed a removal or abuse report for those on campus?
[Edit: I went ahead and submitted the report since I had the information from the previous ticket. Yes, Niantic does take the K-12 issue seriously. I hate when I review correctly and get a disagreement, but it happens.]

I wasn’t sure how to report Wayspot that I don’t live near. I will look into that in the future. Thanks for reporting it.
Google should update their map to make it more obvious that it is a high school. That might solve the issue more permanently.
They accepted the report within hours fwiw.
Google Maps can be updated by anyone. That is something to remember when you see someone’s backyard labeled as a neighborhood park, etc.
