Historic bakery denied with no possibility of appeal

Hello and welcome,

Just want to let you know you get 2 appeals every 15 days. If you have used up both of your appeals within the last 15 days, you do have to wait 15 days from the time you used your 1st appeal before you get one back.

The historic/cultural rejection reason is usually for when someone rejects for generic business. Many have gotten this rejection reason for local businesses, as have I, and with the expanded rejection reason browser plug-in, it notes that it was rejected for generic business.

I do have to question how this bakery meets criteria as a great place to be social/exercise/explore, which all nominations have to meet at least 1 of. Bakeries may be seen as generic businesses, so I would want to know what kind of baked goods are they known for, like are they known for a special type of baked good/pastry that others don’t make., which could help it meet the explore criteria I’d like to know if there is maybe a seating area for dining, as this would encourage socialization with others. Looking at the bakery on Google Maps and Street View, I’m not seeing that they have a seating area inside or out, so being a social place may be out of the running.

One thing that may help to add in the supporting info is their IG page, https://www.instagram.com/forn_oliveras_1958/. Another think to look at is reviews from places like Google Maps, Yelp, etc, as reviews can help.

With that said, all that I have found about this bakery is that it’s just a bakery, with no seating area, and so it may be seen as a generic business. More info on generic businesses can be found here:

I’d also encourage you to check out the Wayspot Criteria, to know what may or may not be eligible. Another good place to check out is the Criteria Clarification Collection, as it covers some of the most discussed POIs.
