I submitted a wayspot move request (the wayspot was roughly half a mile from where it’s supposed to be) and the chat bot told me they’d get back to me within a few hours. It has been 9 hours. Should I keep waiting or send another request?
Good day and welcome to the forum!
It may be better to wait it out and provide more evidence to support your request. You should also keep the support ticket number in case of rejection and subsequent appeal.
Thanks for the info! Just for clarification, how can I add more evidence if they haven’t responded yet? Also what is the ticket’s use? Thanks for the help =]
There is an additional prompt after the required details have been inputted. Geotagged images, links showing the correct location. Any verifiable evidence can work.
You can reference the ticket number for any follow-up you may need to do for the same wayspot. If you loose the conversation due to cache reset, you can add it.
Is evidence sent after the ticket is created and the (human) team is notified also given to the team member? What I’m trying to say is does everything in that specific help chat get shared with the niantic staff?
Hey @301Starshade424 , we have already responded and moved the Wayspot based on the evidence provided. You should see the changes reflected soon. I would recommend not raising multiple Wayfarer help support tickets for the same request/concern, but to wait for one of our Wayfarer support staff to respond.
Happy Exploring!
Thank you so much! Sorry, I didn’t get an email so I assumed it hadn’t gone through. In the future I will wait longer. Thanks for the quick resolution =]
Just so you know, Help Chat does not send out an email after they have made their decision. If the chat window is still open they will reply giving you an indication if they agree or disagree with the request. Otherwise you will need to check on the map.
Thanks for letting me know! Just wondering that since I sent the same move request twice would that second request be ignored? I just don’t want it to accidentally get counted as abuse because the spot would already be fixed and so would not need to be moved. (I will not be sending a second request in the future but am wondering for this case.)
Assuming your request was the same (from location X to location Y), I don’t think they would flag it as abuse. It’s great that Help Chat is available, but it doesn’t have the best workflow from a requesters perspective. I suspect they get double requests fairly often.
Alright gotcha
