Hi guys, first i wanna excuse any gramatic error in my post, im brazilian and im just freaking out about this thing and you guys are the only help that i have now tht any one else in this city play this game.
So, i have this cell that has like 16 pokestops, 2 gyms and 1 dmax point, by my research i see that it takes like 20 POIS in a cell to make one more gym, next to this pokestop that i marked with the purple circle is the only place next to the area that dont has the chance to get a bullet shot or be stabbed (im not even joking). I was trying to find a way to make this pokestop or create one in the left cell (theres a school there) to be a gym. IM F TIRED to go on raids for fear of having my cell phone stolen or something like what I mentioned before in the text happening.
So, if theres any ways that i try to influence this thing that you guys know plz let me know.

Gym creation is intended to be random upon meeting the threshold for a new gym to spawn. Niantic considered it abuse to attempt to manipulate which Pokéstops become Gyms, and as such they changed how they were determined in order to add some randomness into the mix. Whilst I can appreciate that you may have safety concerns about an area, this is not something that you can control.
Additionally, regarding the comments about the school, anything on school property is ineligible if the school is for under 18s.

Schools for minors are ineligible per the Wayfarer criteria. Posting the general coordinates of this L14 cell may help you find potential candidates.
That said, Pokémon GO has the component of going outside as a mechanic of gameplay, this is the concept of augmented reality games. I think these games are incompatible in a location where going out would pose a high chance of bodily harm/fatality.

The cell you marked with a circle is next to some other cells. What are they like?
S1: Theres a school and city’s infrastructure secretariat
S2: A store that its already a pokestop
S3: Guetto or Favelas
S4: Guetto or Favelas

I meant the adjacent level 14 the bigger cells is there any chance of a gym in those as it wouldn’t be far.

Keep in mind that PoGoMaps is a 3rd party mapping service that runs on users inputting the data, so it’s not always accurate. We used to be able to check cell accuracy with an S2 overlay and the Ingress Intel map, but since Ingress is no longer syncing with Wayfarer, that info may be out of date.
Right now, we can only look at the cells and the current Wayspots as of May 23rd, 2025 on the Intel map. Any Wayspots approved after this date don’t show up, so we can only make assumptions as users. Staff may take a look at the map and the cells and give some info, as they do monitor the forums.
