How to get Pokestop Back

Question it appears that a Pokestop that I submitted and got accepted was in Pokémon Go. An accident made by editing the Pokestop is no longer there but it’s in other niantic games. Is there away to get those back into Pokémon Go? I have 2 that needs to come back into the Game.

Welcome to the forum!

Are you aware of how Pokemon Go uses S2 cells? https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/

If you did a location edit, you may have moved the Wayspot into an occupied L17 S2 cell. If the Wayspot is currently correctly located in real life, then trying to move it again would be considered abuse.

If you did another kind of edit and the Wayspot was ineligible, someone may have reported it when they saw your edit.

I am aware of that, but just seeing if there is a way to get it back other than being in Ingress

The “other Niantic games” text doesn’t really mean anything. The actual meaning is “this wayspot exists but is not being used by Pokemon Go due to the inclusion rules”.

Wayspots cannot be legitimately moved from a good location to another just-as-good location, as this is considered abuse for the purposes of improving the gameboard instead of improving the wayspots database.

If where the wayspot is now is accurate, then it cannot be moved into a different location into an empty cell to make it appear in Pokemon Go.

Ingress is completely separate now. When Ingress and Pokemon Go split in May 2025, then inherited the same set of wayspots, so you can use Ingress to see the wayspots but that will become less accurate over time.

Hi @AndyDubi2018
Welcome to the forum from me aswell :hugs:
Location edits for ingame invisible wayspots you can do through helpchat (wayfarer menue → help → orange bubble). Please only request location edits for real life corrections and not for game purpose only, like stated by Cyndie that could bring your accounts in trouble.

Just to clarify “accounts” as it is a common post in the forums, any warning / suspension from wayfarer will also effect your Pokemon Go and any other Niantic / Scopely game accounts.

Imported wayspots used for power spots still have that “other Niantic games” text. So it isn’t always the inclusion rule that is preventing it from being a pokestop, but rather it usually is since all of the imported ones are stuff like generic businesses and such, imported specifically to create some good ol power spots. (just a little nitpick to prevent some possible confusion)

Oh yes, I forgot about powerspots in that explanation. For the question here, they aren’t relevant

How would I submit the form to get the Pokestop back?

If the current location is correct, it is considered abuse to move it.

If the current location is not correct, you can use help chat to request the move. They will not move something for cell reasons to make it appear in a game, only for real world corrections and with evidence. You can access the help chat text box at https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/help

Alternatively, you can use the “Wayspot Removals” form linked at the top here to request modifications as well:

I prefer help chat as easier to use, but help chat does not create an email chain, and some people tend to lose the help chat history.

Just need the Pokestops that was taken out of the cell there is nothing wrong with it. It was there for acceptance and approval in the game and then after one Pokestop was edited location that new Pokestop was taken out what’s the reason?
Should I edit the Pokestop or should I leave it be

If the current location of the wayspot is the real-life location of the object, do not try to move it.

If the current location of the wayspot is NOT the real-life location of the object, you can request it is moved to the real-life location.

What if current spot location is off by a couple of feet should it be edited or left alone?

I had 2 Pokestops removed after a new one got in the game what’s the reason

I still get Postcards from my buddy from those spins

would you like to give us the gps coordinates? we can show you what the S2 cells look like there to demonstrate what is happening.

You are still getting Postcards from Pokestops that don’t exist? For how long?

How do I send GPS coordinates? I would like those Pokestops back though there’s nothing wrong with the location

For a while, I think a few months
