Hello everyone, first time posting here. First of all, I perfectly know the S2 L17 and L14 rules for Pokéstops and gyms in Pokémon GO.
About a week ago I requested a new Wayspot called “Campo da Padel” at this location: 45.5951531, 9.3384486 which is in an empty S2 L17 cell.
My request was accepted and the Wayspot went live in both Ingress and Pokémon GO. However, some reviewers suggested a new location for the Wayspot, so it was created in a completely different place: 45.595013, 9.339594
Thankfully, it was moved in an empty S2 L17 cell, but it wasn’t supposed to be there.
I then requested a location change >10m via chatbot and now I can’t see the Pokéstop anymore in Pokémon GO. It’s still visible in Ingress in the old (wrong) position.
I opened a ticket asking for clarification but they replied with a copy-paste, generic answer, stating that some changes had been made and will be reflected in the game soon.
My question is: does Niantic temporarily disable Pokéstops when a location change request is submitted and it’s being processed? Will the Pokéstop be back live in Pokémon GO? I mean, whether its location will change or not, it will be in an empty S2 L17 cell anyway, so there is no reason for the Pokéstop to be removed from the game.

They don’t disable pokestops temporarily. Your wayspot was moved to 45.594882999999996, 9.338503, which is close to “Centro Sportivo Di Via Libertà” and in an occupied cell, so the pokestop unfortunately disappeared permanently. Please keep in mind that the chatbot can ignore your suggested location and pick whatever location they find appropriate - which is likely what happened here.
Wait, what?! So basically I requested a wayspot in a free cell, some random stranger arbitrarily moved it to a completely wrong place and now the Pokéstop is gone even though I told them exactly where to place it?!
The submission location 45.5951531, 9.3384486 is a street corner some distance from Campo da Padel, while the accepted location 45.595013, 9.339594 is on a tennis court which might or might not be Campo da Padel (streetview doesn’t asist).
If you intended to put it into the upper cell, which is some distance from that field, I would suggest you check out that restaurant you have there and consider it submitting.
One random stranger cannot move a wayspot during review. I imagine that the final wayspot is an average of where reviewers placed it (including the original if they didn’t move it). Alternatively, if Our Team reviewed it, then a Scopely person can relocate a wayspot during review, but they’re not a random stranger.
Whoever moved the Wayspot while reviewing it, put it on a skating rink. At this point I’d rather have it on a wrong location instead of it being removed.
Restaurants get rejected all the time as generic businesses. Also, the Padel court is just across the street, so the location in the upper cell is pretty accurate
Please note that putting wayspot away from its actual location is subject to abuse ladder system.
Campo de Padel seems correctly placed
Whoever did it, they placed it in a completely wrong place and now the Pokéstop is gone. Which is not fair at all.
But if they moved it in the first place because they thought that location was accurate, why did they move it again? They should have just rejected my request. At least the Pokéstop would have been still live.
Help chat has its own judgement on where is the correct location

Anyway helpchat doesnt look into grid. Wayfarer are supposed to be game neutral.
See where the Padel court is marked on Google maps and see where I wanted to place it. It’s pretty accurate to me
The satelite view is pretty clear to me. You can try moving it again. But beware moving wayspot away from its correct location is subject for abuse ladder system. I have my own experience on this.
But it’s not a wrong location. It’s actually much more accurate than 45.594882999999996, 9.338503
How can I appeal this?
You cant appeal edit. You can only make another edit request
It’s not visible in Pokémon GO anymore, so I guess I should make an edit request via Ingress?

Anyway unused wayspot might become powerspot. So your submission is not wasted. Although sync time to be power spot is not known atm.
Well, we need pokestops/gyms in our town tbh. By the way, how do you see the updated location? I still see the old location in both Ingress and IITC.
Geospatial browser. You should have stop when its 1st approved. But u try to move it closer.now i dont think its movable. Anyway more pokestop/gym is not wayfarer issue. I suggest u look inside all restaurant. Although the restaurant itself might be ineligible (u can try 1st) , you might find other eligible thing inside such as mural/art, playground, water fountain, etc
I logged in this morning and found out that now Campo da Padel is visible as a Pokéstop, but Centro Sportivo Di Via Libertà is gone. Do you know what happened?
