I'm having issues. Keeps getting rejected

I’ve tried to get this as a pokemon stop but it got rejected twice. I’m not sure why. It’s not on privet propriety. It’s located on the street. So I’m not sure what the big deal is on why it got rejected twice. It’s a community dog fountain and I thought fountain’s were acceptable as a pokemon stop. There’s plenty of pedestrian access via car, walking and or biking. So what’s the issue on why it keeps getting rejected. I’m I doing something wrong?

The rejection was

Rejection Criteria
Wayfarer criteria

It might not show on google maps but its there.

“Wayfarer criteria” indicates the ML (machine learning ai) model rejected this. It will probably have been decided around 20-24 hours after you made the nomination, and the email will say “our team” instead of the community.

Not even getting into whether this meets criteria as a great place for being social, exercise, or exploration, it does appear to be on private property from what you have shown there. Please read this: Private Residences, Farmland & K-12

It is best not to think about categories of things always being eligible. Like, don’t think “fountains are eligible.”

Look at the thing you are nominating and explain to a stranger how this is either a:

  • great place to socialize
  • great place to exercise
  • great place to explore

I don’t see how a place for a dog to drink water is any of those things.

Hi @Ilovepoopies7! As they told you, in general terms, a place for dogs to drink water is not eligible as it doesn’t meet any criteria. Here you have an example of an eligible one I submitted some months ago because their story. It is from 18th century and it was used to check what animals were sick:

can someone delete this post thanks.

I am not sure why you are asking for this post to be deleted. fwiw, I think this was a great question to ask, and you probably helped a lot of other people with it. It gave us an opportunity to discuss the issues of private property and of fountains, which are often confusing to wayfarers because of current in game locations they may have seen.
