Improvements regarding a placemarker for large area

Title: Välkommen till Slättenområdet (Welcome to the area of Slätten)

Appeal information: Welcome sign for the activity area of Slätten. The sign has information of different activities in the area as well of some of the sports club you will find. On the backside there is also a map over the area. Exploring the area will most likely encourage you to exercise and soicialize amoung others,

Reject reason: …The nomination in question does not meet the Wayfarer criteria as it is a normal signboard.

Question: Since this is the only sign representing the area I though it would work as a placemarker for the area. And as you can see the map overview from openstreetmap it really do covers a lot of different activities.
My question is really how could I have improved the appeal information? or am I making a faulty decision thinking this should be eligible - if so why?

That seems like a mistake by the appeals team, and a mistake by the reviewers. Unless there is already something similar there I would have Givin this thumbs up.

Looking at the map I can see at least 4 other potential nominations in that area as well.

Not sure exactly where that sign is but I would try again.

I am hoping they got an email reversing the appeal rejection since Aaron agreed it was eligible.

Yes, you are right and I have a lot of potentials already marked in the area. Just need the time to visit during daytime
