What are the “in voting” wait times you’ve experienced before your nomination has been accepted or not accepted?
(NOTE: asking about in voting nominations without upgrades)
I know every area is different based on reviewers, but I want to get an overall idea.
I think because it varies from area to area, there isn’t a good estimate that can be given. It really does depend on the number of reviewers in your area, so you could get 1 review that puts a nomination in voting, but it may be months, possibly years, before another reviewer comes along if you don’t have an active review community.
I can’t tell you. Before ML started accepting my stuff back in March, I expected to wait over a year without an upgrade, so I used them. Since ML accepts have been turned off, I only have one nomination submitted. This is how it is going:
I finally had some nominations I made in August clear in December. Sometimes it just takes forever. Those were in an area Im not normally in that area. My normal play area takes maybe 2-4 months. None of those were with upgrades and Im not in a super big area.
Are we talking now, before, a specific period, all time?

Within the last 8 months.
Ohhh interesting question. You may have seen much chatter about EmiLy (the Machine Learning) being down.
Prior to the last few weeks. EmiLy would process a fair amount of noms at speed. Both acceptance and rejection. Unfortunately EmiLy caught a cold and is OoA (Out of Action).
Essentially from 24hour/48hour turn around to days then weeks and now moving to the months mark. I don’t nominate a lot. But of the twenty or so since Emily went down. Only 4 are through and all 4 were upgrade
From a reviewing point of view I am getting better quality noms. But I am also getting a lot more dross as Emily is not stripping out the slam dunk rejections. A lot more from all over the country. So the backlog is building as far as I can tell
I hope that helps. I expect Emily to be running again before too long (please Emily come back)…Till then expect it to take longer
This would be hard to say based on each area as well, but this is what I noticed in the ones I mainly submit in.
First off, there was an issue with reviewer ratings that started in April 2024, but most didn’t notice until the global review challenge in May 2024. Many stopped reviewing while the ratings were broken, as their ratings tanked, so even after this issue was resolved, some reviewers just haven’t returned. Personally, it did take a few months for my non-upgraded nominations/edits from rural areas I visited to be resolved during this time. Also, ML approved a good majority of what I submitted, so review time was only about 24 hours for those.
Once school was back in session and the college students had returned to my area in August/September, I noticed more nominations/edits in queue for my area, and it also seemed as reviewing was starting to get a little faster. It looked like my area had more Wayfarers, and this isn’t unusual where I am. I see more nominations/edits in the summer months, when school is out, and faster review times when school/college is back in. We get winter here, and so once snow is on the ground and the temps are cold, there are less nominations/edits to review for my area; most of what I get year-round are upgraded nominations/edits. Still had many ML accepts during this time as well for me.
During the global edits challenge in October/November 2024, most of my submitted edits were being resolved by the community within about 2-3 weeks. I didn’t submit much in December, as it got cold/snowy and I was away for the holidays, and just submitted 2 new Wayspot nominations and a few edits this week. 2 edits were approved by ML, and the others have gone into voting already. The nominations, on the other hand, are still in queue.
So, review times still vary from area to area, but there can be some things that affect us all that may cause faster or slower times.
