Hi,
this L14 cell should have a third gym. It doesn’t appear on the game map since the gym status was assigned to an inactive pokestop, artif Fensterbeschriftung 48.510251,9.067525.
Could someone please check to make sure everything is in order?
Thanks
The wayspot you are showing is, according to the map inactive because it shares a cell with “Spielplatz Südstadt”.
It does look like it has 20 wayspots but only 2 Gyms which could be…
- The 2nd Sync where Pokemon Go updates the map on what type of wayspot each 1 is hasn’t happened yet?
- There is a Sponsored Gym which don’t show on the map?
Good Luck
Germany has next to no sponsored gyms
The timing for that sync would have been there
The Wayspot Wooperlooper showed is inactive because I corrected the location
Yeah, it was an inactive pokestop that turned into an inactive gym when we hit 20 spots in that cell last week. There aren’t any sponsored gyms around and we don’t have a pogo ambassador that would have put a gym in that cell
Hi @wooperIooper ,
We’re constantly making improvements to Pokémon GO and occasionally, you may notice changes to the PokéStops or Gyms in your community. While we are not able to fulfill your request to add back these locations at this time, we recognize the disappointment this may have caused and hope you continue to seek out adventures at other PokéStops and Gyms in your surrounding communities.
Thanks,
Is this something your team is trying to work at? It doesn’t feel right to me that people can get “scammed” out of gyms and there’s nothing your team can do. To me, this is a great example where you should be able to take action.
(Also thinking about the cases where people abusively move stops to relocate a gym and there’s also nothing your team can do to revert the moved gym - that’s not related to this topic but in the same spirit as my earlier example.)
Wayfarer doesn’t control which location becomes what in any of the games. Each game has its own criteria that determine it, and this whole process is free of any manual intervention.
Gameboard manipulation is a very serious offence and can lead to the permanent termination of all involved accounts.
I’m aware that it’s not in your direct control to interact with such game features, but shouldn’t this be something where you can work together with the game teams, in this case with the Pokemon Go Team?
I am aware of this and appreciate you taking action here, but the damage on the gameboard for Pokemon Go persists even if the user gets punished for this behaviour. That’s my main reason why I think that your team should be able to work with game teams to resolve such issues and mitigate damage caused.
Thanks, but I seriously think an inactive pokestop should not be able to turn into an inactive gym.
