I recently had two new wayspots accepted, both of which spawned Pokestops. When the first one was accepted it should have caused a new gym to appear nearby. However, instead of this happening, I noticed that a nearby Pokstop had instead been set to ‘inactive’. My guess was that this was due to a bug: it was very close to another wayspot and from my understanding should not have been a pokestop. All well and good, OK, I thought. This is the system sorting itself out.
I went back and found another POI and that too was accepted, becoming a pokestop. But still no gym has appeared. I actually have a third potential in queue which could possibly push the area even further.
Just to be clear, I have checked the wayfarer map and the Pokemongo.com map but not looked in person, but please could you take a look at this location and see if you can nudge whatever it is that is blocking the gym from appearing? Thank you.

Do you know if there has ever been a Community Ambassador stop at this location?
And are you aware of any past location moves ( I’m guessing not but thought i would ask)
I cannot say for sure. I know there are players in Bath who are attempting to get Ambassador status but have not got there yet, so I am doubtful that is the cause. I have wondered if the wayspot that is close to Twerton-on-Avon Railway Station could have moved and that is why they were both live but I do not know that for sure either. Ingress has a portal for Twerton-on-Avon Railway Station at the correct coordinates but there is no sign there of the other wayspot due to proximity rules. That is the only place I can look to know about historic locations.

The Wayfarer map is usually 24-48 hours behind, so if one or more of the stops in that area are new this week, it might not be showing up, and the stop/gym status might not have updated.
For example, the L14 cell immediately southwest of my house had a new stop appear yesterday, which caused another to become a gym (the cell went from 1 to 2 total wayspots), but on the wayfarer map the new stop isn’t showing as in game and the gym shows as a stop.
The 20 pokestops and gyms in this L14 cell are all community-submitted ones. There are only 2 gyms and Niantic have said everything is correct, but didn’t say that any property owners had blocked or downgraded anything.
Hopefully this is just a timing issue as @CostcoShopper13 suggested.
The stop I was talking about was accepted on the 30th at 20:25 California time and went live on the 31st (I wasn’t watching but ours usually show up around 11:00, roughly 16 hours ago) The new gym had a raid showing on my nearby at 20:25 on the 31st, but is still showing as a regular stop on Wayfarer right now.

2 gyms showing on the Wayfarer map…. the poster did mention not looking in person, which I am assuming meant in game. So there might be a third gym that isn’t yet updated on Wayfarer.
Still no sign of Gym no3 on wayfarer map / pogo website map / campfire. Just had my other wayspot approved in the area. Let’s see if anything changes at sync this time.
