Pretty sure its been like that for over a week. Ive had 2 edits tk move things “accepted” on the wayfarer help, but when i checked the gsb they were still where they were previously, 1 was minor so it might not have been noticable, but one was defo enough of a move that it would have been obvious
I had a description edit accepted on May 12th, and it’s updated in GSB. I’m thinking it could have been a manual push, as it was reviewed and accepted by staff. Those could align with the manual syncing though.
It appears there was an Ingress sync today, all my edits have now come into the game.
As it is now manual is it possible that a member of staff could post when the button has been pressed?
Does that include in to the Intel Map?
Yes intel map has been done too. Only things that haven’t synced are the ones I had accepted yesterday.
One of the 3 Wayspots I had approved last week is now in Ingress as of last night, and is on the Intel map.
Does this include photo removals? The ones I looked at weren’t adjusted in ingress after that last sync, but edits and additional ones were.
My description edit was reviewed by staff, if you read my full post. It’s possible that staff could manually sync anything that they approved, but this hasn’t been confirmed by staff.
I know of a portal that was supposed to be removed thay hasnt, its been removed in pogo, so it seems the sunc isnt fully done
Also, i got 2 waypoints accepted from sunday and monday that havent appeared
My photo removals on a few things were done before other location edits and accepted portals but those updated. But the photos that got removed from pogo were not also removed from ingress.
I was specifically wondering if removed photos via the help chat would be synced to be removed from ingress too.
Again, we don’t have confirmation from staff in regards to edits and any type of removals (in-game requests, forum appeals, help chat) and when they’ll sync into Ingress, but it most likely will be the same manual syncs for newly approved Wayspots.
It may also be that some staff have the ability to push through a manual sync of a Wayspot, while others don’t, but this is also something we don’t know about.
Just give it time, as we haven’t been told as to when the syncs will happen, just that they will be done manually and be less frequent than before. A photo removal seems to be kind of lower priority to me, so if a photo stays at a Wayspot for longer than expected, I’m not going to be too worried.
Still doesnt look liek submissions or edits are going through to jngress, any idea when the manual inputs are happening @NianticTintino
The automation was halted on 2025-05-07.
There was a manual sync on 2025-05-14.
So, I would guess that there might be a manual sync on 2025-05-21.
But, since these are purposefully manual now, and probably ad-hoc, I would suggest the official time will be “when someone gets around to it”.
It’s also worth noting that the Ingress team said:
With our transition to Niantic Spatial, our Ingress Team is now significantly smaller
in a recent news post so it may not happen every week. I’d like it to, but wouldn’t bet on it.
Before I posted this, I re-read @NianticTintino’s post →
So, I know the syncs with Ingress (Intel, IITC and so on) are going to manual and periodic at best. What I’m looking for is this. Will there be a post on the forum from Staff or Ambassadors when the sync happens?
I think you should read some of the posts here from those that have had Wayspots/edits synced to know that there hasn’t been any announcements and it seems unlikely.
For example, I noted that a description edit that was approved by staff synced within 48 hours in all games and maps, including Ingress/intel/GSB. It may be that some staff are able to push through manual syncs for nominations/edits that they review and approve, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
At this point, I think we just have to rely on users posting about whether or no there has been a sync for their approved Wayspots/edits, and I can confirm that my most recently approved Wayspots since May 14th haven’t synced into Ingress/Intel/GSB yet. It may also be that the Spatial team may be running some of these syncs, and they have a smaller staff now.
Just wanting to let everyone know that I checked Intel and GSB, and there seems to have been a sync for GSB, as the 2 Wayspots I had approved within the last week are on there now. However, they are not yet on Intel. They are in PoGo as the S2 cells were unoccupied and showed up quite quickly.
Thank you! Looks like for now, we are going to have to crowd source it.
