It’s one of the possible options, one that will often let OPs of such posts get their resolutions faster than waiting for Niantic staff to read their question on here. I have been directed to it by both help chat staff and abuse form staff not later than this morning, seems they are fine with us using this.
The property owner e-mail comes automatically upon usage of certain options in the drop-down. I don’t like how it is worded either (and I don’t always know if what I’m reporting is a portal or a Pokéstop or a mushroom) and I have had my fair share of frustrating and confusing interactions but nevertheless, this form works too.

For those who doubt the effectiveness of the form linked at the top of this forum…
I submitted a removal request using that form at 18:45 tonight (“last night”). I got the message that it had been processed and removed just after midnight. It took less than 5 hours to get it removed. If course, thats partly because i had really good proof that the sign was no longer still in that spot. But thats exactly why this form is so efficient - you can submit proof.

Congratulations on your experience. But like I said, I’ll wait for Niantic’s response here.
Isn’t it interesting that there’s a method that could get this removed within hours but weeks later, posting it here still hasn’t resolved anything?

We already discussed it. We read the same official post from Niantic, but understood it differently. I believe that this is the right spot to appeal rejections, and while I understand that there is another way to do it that you mentioned, I still chose to appeal my rejections here. We can agree to disagree, wait for Niantic to clarify, and end our arguing for now, but you chose to get back to arguing. I feel harassed, so I am asking you to please stop.
