Just something I was wondering about really. There are several spots in the town where I live where, whenever you try to submit a new stop, it shows that there already is something there. Yet, whenever I look on the wayfarer map, there is no dot to be found, neither ‘in-game’ or ‘not in-game’. What does this mean really? I only play pokemon go, but since they aren’t on the map, I assume that those spots also don’t appear in other games?
There seems to be about cells that the only wayspots are “Not In Game”.
Only staff would be able to confirm but as they all seem to be in the cemetery (or at it’s boundary) I would assume it’s due to a Property Owner request.
Hm yea could be the case. Then again, on the other side of the cemetry, there is an active pokestop (it’s also at the boundary). They took away all the stops from the cemetry quite a few years ago.
Is there a way to contact someone from staff? Or just to pinpoint one of them to this topic?
Staff do read the post here so hopefully 1 will comment.
They usually have to give vague answers but if it is a “Property Owner Request” then only another Property Owner Request to revert it will work.
I did see the one at the other side, it does seem to be stuck out towards the road a bit more so maybe just missed the block. Didn’t mention it in case someone took a look and thought “oops, missed one”
Cemeteries can be tricky, lots of people will reject due to the comments highlighted above in the criteria but the criteria does go on to state that some POIs at the locations “can” be eligible.
Appreciated haha, that waypoint has been there for many a year. The one I am wondering about is on a lamppost along the road that goes past the cemetry. It shouldn’t be too much of a problem I guess, one doesn’t have to go into the cemetry area to spin it.
