Is there any way to see nearby wayspots on the map that are being voted on?

I’m wondering because I have multiple submissions in queue that are not going into voting after over 2 weeks. I want to see if there is a submission in voting near those submission that is blocking it from going into voting.

To answer your question, there is unfortunately no way to see other people’s submissions that are currently in voting on the map.
That being said, it is often said that if a nearby submission is already in voting, it can prevent other nearby submissions from entering the voting process.
The best way to resolve this is to use an Upgrade. Applying an Upgrade usually allows your submission to bypass this “blocking” mechanism and move into the voting phase much faster.

Are you saying if I upgrade a submission that is still in queue (not in voting) that it may get it into the voting stage?

Update: some of the submissions are now in voting after a different submission of mine was upgraded and rejected. It must have been the bottleneck.

That’s right. That’s one of the benefits of upgrading.

Do we have any evidence of this? I have only ever seen mention that “Upgrades” effect the “In Voting” stage only.

Personally I am a low numbers nominator with plenty of spare Upgrades so I use on almost all my nominations. On the couple I haven’t I have not identified a shorter “In Queue” stage.

You’re right, I don’t have any evidence. In areas where waiting two years is the norm, using an Upgrade always triggered the voting process for me, so I just assumed it was a universal fix. Thanks for letting me know.

If my nomination is out of grace period for certain - at least 7 days old - an upgrade has always worked to send it into voting. That isn’t “proof” but is my experience as well.

Thanks for the replies.

This was not meant to be a “prove it or it doesn’t exist” question. Just I have not seen it happen myself (or at least not noticed it) and don’t remember seeing it mentioned previously.

Just trying to learn as I go along
