Hello, fellow wayfarers. I’m having trouble nominating this pergola (is this even a pergola)? It keeps being rejected even when appealed and I would like some insight of it. It is a passageway between two buildings in a commercial and residential condominium that has free access for the public. It fits on the explore category for me.
I would not call this a pergola, even though vines are growing up the supports. I would call this a covered walkway, and I am not really seeing how this is a distinct location from your photos. I read that you feel this meets the exploration criteria. Can you explain in your own words how you feel it does? That might help your case.
Well, I feel it meets the exploration criteria because there aren’t many of these, if any, around here. There is nothing much to see, but it’s nice to walk through it because of all the plants, in my opinion.

A great place for exploration
A place you love to venture out to; a destination or a placemark of local interest and importance and which makes our communities unique and shapes its identity. Somewhere or something that tells the unique story about a place, its history, its cultural meaning, or teaches us about the community we live in.
I don’t see anything that convinces me that this covered walkway meets the definition of a distinct place to explore. Wayfarer requires using our best judgment, and we won’t all agree. I will leave this to others now.
Since you are having difficulty getting it accepted then you need be open to the idea that this is something that might not be acceptable.
I agree that this looks attractive but it doesn’t sound like a pergola.
You need to explain which of the criteria it meets and how it meets it. I don’t see anywhere to sit, relax and socialise. So you need to demonstrate why this stands out as place to explore.
Actually, I kinda know for quite a while that this is probably ineligible, but I wanted to get some insight it to see if maybe I was submitting it wrong. I wouldn’t classify it as a point for socialization, just exploration. Well, it’s a shame, since I find it pretty and it would be nice to have more pretty things as wayspots.
