I’m applying for wayspot at the same time as I’m doing quite a lot of screening, but it’s the first time that the upgrade right hasn’t come out in such a long time.
If you use the upgrade ticket, most of the screening results came out within two weeks, and the results came out within a month at the latest. (It’s still the case today.)
Dozens of wayspots applied after the use of this upgrade have already been approved or rejected, are pending or under review.
I know every year that the screening takes a long time, and the reality is that I’m waiting for the global challenge. The applications I applied for in early January are still waiting for the screening… Last year, there was a case where I stayed until the global challenge in December…
However, except for this wayspot, all wayspot using the upgrade right has the result.
I also contacted the niantic wayfarer team and got a response, but the upgraded candidates will be prioritized but still need to be reviewed by the player community and will be reviewed manually. I got a macro response that everyone knows is not exactly how long it will be completed.
Has anyone experienced the same symptoms as me?
Or are there people who haven’t received the results for this long even though they’ve used the upgrade ticket?

I had one that stayed under review with upgrade for 1 year. Later i submitted the same POI while the other was still under review and the second (without upgrade) was approved in less than a month. Sometimes they are bugged. i reported it but they told me that everything needs its time. The second submission gave reason to me

P.s. Other POI in cells near the one with upgrade were approved and rejected without upgrade like it was nothing
I can’t believe you’ve had something you’ve been reviewing with an upgrade for a year… you’ve heard the same answer as me…
In the end, you submitted the same thing twice, didn’t use the upgrade, and got approval within a month. Thank you for your precious experience.

later on i remember that something caused many submissions to return on hold and i caught the moment to retire the first (at the time the second one was already a pokestop in game)
i said a month, but probably the other took even less

I’ve controlled, thanks to a chat where i shared some infos.
The first submission was made in april 2022
It went in review after a month and i charged the upgrade later in agoust 2022
After the challenge in September 2023 (i’m in Italy and the challenge solved most of our submission) THAT SUBMISSION WAS STILL THERE. WITH UPGRADE
The same day (28 september) i submitted the second one and nowadays it says that it is in game from 10 month, so it was approved in October
Then i retired the first when i had the chance

Niantic team inquiry and after writing this article, I received approval 3 days later.
It’s the first time in my experience that I’ve waited for two months after using the upgrade right. I don’t know if it’s a problem, but I’m glad it’s solved.
