Ok so my first question is why is the bike in the photo? What is its purpose?
Because it is quite distracting.

So its 100% sure not google view.
And yes i also know i cant use mine uploaded photos from google maps. But need to use diffrent ones, was more the idea so people can see the location if there is no street view, but yeah then the see the same picture of course, also didt think about it, but now i do :+1:

I get you’re trying to prove you took the photos by showing the bike, that however presents a new set of problems as a planted object can be considered abusive as others can determine its your nomination based on your bike.

Didt know its abuse? Only tryed to show its not google maps, but i sall keep it in mind next time. Thank you.

Is it a good poi? Its the only restaurant in this area. You can also walk around it on footpad, inside is big restaurant and there is a waiting room if you order pick up, there is also some japanse art, that i also can try nominated

Its not explicitly abuse, but that can be done for abusive reasons and same may be cautious and reject for that.

I see it was rejected as “Generic Business”

Restaurants can be great places to be social, but there are certain hurdles that need to be overcome in order to convince the community that it deserves to be a Wayspot. Having good reviews isn’t enough. Also, you say it’s the only restaurant in the area, but I found 4 others within a 5-minute walk of that restaurant on Google.

Some things to consider:

  1. Is the restaurant unique in the area? Is it the only sushi restaurant? Because that’s an important distinction. If it is, that’s a point in its favour. You can sell it like this is a place to gather, be social, and experience sushi, something that might not otherwise be available in the area.

I will say that I read through some of the reviews of the place through the link you provided in your supporting information, and it reads like there are others.

  1. If I’m being honest I’d leave the TripAdvisor link out, as the review that comes up talks about how they sometimes get the orders wrong, and that’s not a good look when you’re trying to convince people it’s a good restaurant.

  2. Is this restaurant somewhere you would take your family or friends to if they were visiting from out of town? Is it somewhere you would tell them about before they arrived, “We have to eat here while you’re in town!”

  3. How long has the restaurant been open? If it’s only a year or so, most restaurants fail in their first year. You need to be able to show that it’s been around long enough to be considered a staple in the community.

  4. Do they host any events? Trivia nights? Social gatherings? Tasting nights? Any type of event that gathers the community together?

I didn’t dig too deep, but a cursory review of the restaurant tells me very little. There’s no “about” section on the website, no events, no community connection.

If you want to try an appeal, I look into point number 1 above, and if it is indeed the only Sushi restaurant in the area I would lean heavily into that aspect of it. Describe it as a place to experience Japanese cuisine and culture in your area.

If that doesn’t work, you might have better luck with the art you mentioned that’s in the restaurant, provided that it’s original and unique.

Hope this helps.

I wonder witch restaurant? Not the snackbar? Fastfood its not a restaurant. And yes in center of town there are other restaurant, but not in this part of town (woonwijk) probally around 2.5 km -3 km farter, amd the turkish is a eetcafe and not restaurant where you take familly to, and if it dont work i dont send any restaurant are places to be sociale any more, yes if you read japanse restaurant sushi, i hope the people understand you can only taste japanase cuisine there, its since 2016 there, think most people find it easier to reject a lot nomination to get there own upgrade, thats why most time rejected reason is algemene handelzaak is the first thing the can press on to go to next nomination, maybe a option that if you press the algemene handelzaak, you still need to fill in everything to go to the next nomination to vote on…no person reject the nomination on this reason:

Is de locatie geschikt om door voetgangers te worden bezocht? Yes you can walk there save and visit it walking but ad that moment people already down vote it.

Its not a mcdonalds or verhage, they only have 1 restaurant

restaurant are good social places every one like food so to explore new cuisine is always great

I think you should give reviewers reason not to reject the restaurant based on its own merits. An improvement on the description may favor you well. There are information from this comment alone not reflected in the actual nomination and there might be more to be told.

Adding that demeriting other businesses doesn’t help show this sushi place’s merits at all. + on @Glawhantojar 's advice, add what kind of socializing the place would be great for. Maybe first dates? Family dinners? Gastro-experience? I dunno, you didn’t say.

I get that it isn’t the typical cuisine in your region but will this be great for experiencing that cuisine?

Everyone use the restaurant in there own way, some go on a date, some go on familly diner, you also see a lot of groups, people from work togeheter just friends,
Amd yes japanse restaurant sell only japanse food like sushi, ramen. For me it seems pretty normal, what kind of socializing you can do in restaurant, they also have special days whit holidays… and its also interresting if people see he nice poi of japanse restaurant, lets go discover it and taste the japanse cuisine

The Poi is about that there is a japanse restaurant whit japanse all you can eat.
Specif for that cuisine, there stand not italian or greek or spanish tappas

i can add since 2015
Whit a link of newspaper Elke dag verse vis voor sushi - Al het nieuws uit Ridderkerk but dont think since 2015 will make a diffrent, i hope the appeal work

I mean, you can sit and eat there so it is a restaurant. It’s just a fast-food restaurant. But that aside, there are 4 restaurants I found on Google within a 2 minute walk, they all appear to be in the same complex:
Grandcafe MozaĂŻk - 2 minute walk
Verhage Vlietplein - 2 minute walk
First Class - 2 minute walk
mondriaan - 2 minute walk

There are three others a 15-minute walk away, easily walkable or driveable.

I’m not saying you don’t have points regarding the restaurants’ uniqueness, but it’s important that you’re honest in your description and supporting information. If you say it’s the only restaurant in the area and reviewers can find 7 others on Google Maps while reviewing your nomination it puts a bad taste in their mouths. It makes you appear dishonest which is not a place you want to be when people are deciding whether or not to believe you that the restaurant is a local hot spot.

Mondriaan first class en grandcafe mozaik. Is all 3 in the same place same cafe, 3 times changes name,…and its not a restaurant more a bar cafe where you also can gamble on slot machine… and verhage you have everywhere little bit like mcdonalds, and then you come whit 3 others 15 minutes away, thats in the next neighboorhood called Het centrum, i am very honest. In this area is only 1 real restaurant.

its accepted in the appeal

Thank you!

Reviewing nomination can be as hard as noninate a new poi, thank for the help and your mind on how you see it @Glawhantojar
