there is so many people who get their pokestops accepted thats literally like a playground in their yard, but i submit a fire station and a local antique market and they both got denied. i will appeal them but it will take forever for them to have any update, but gets denied within 24 hours. its unfair, it also gets denied from “our team” it doesnt even give it a chance to be decied by the people
Obstruction of emergency access?
fire stations are not eligible to be wayspots, not worth trying again
i submitted it becuase they rebuilt the one we already have, and its a gym and pokestop
Hello @JASHAUNDAVIS16
It is so hard when things get rejected! But there are lots of folks here to give you advice.
I will say that you can’t trust other things you already see on the map. Fire stations don’t really meet eligibility criteria: a Great place to socialize, exercise, or explore. They do meet rejection criteria because a wayspot there can block emergency services.
Can you tell us more about the antique store?
i can understand the fire station, but the antique store it a family run bussiness, its open to the public of everyone. it is run out of a barn, and they sell very old vintage stuff, or stuff they make themseleves out of wood. i put up a picture of the antique market sign so people could look it up, but i think they dont have a website or anything. but its a completey safe area and is not obstucting anything important.
I’d recommend posting your Antique store nomination over in the Nomination Help thread. If you show us both photos and the title/description/supporting information we can help you prep for an appeal or new nomination.
I just had a locally owned antique store approved a couple of weeks ago. I’m thinking that it depends on what you submitted for it, such as the title/description, photos, and supporting info. For mine, I explained what types of items can be found at the store in the description, such as collectible and vintage items, and in the supporting info I provided the business’ website.
