But they are separate issues. I do understand your not wanting to translate given the current ways to do that, but there was a whole discussion that included other ways to avoid getting a cooldown while skipping these: I keep getting cooldowns - #56 by cyndiepooh
The list of “tips to avoid cooldowns” I was replying to, assumes reviewing every nomination, and implies accuracy as the problem. Meanwhile my total agreements are over 75 percent with a “great” rating. Including quite a few rejects and duplicates, so clearly I’m not just blindly accepting everything. So obviously the issue is the overall speed, not accuracy.
You seem to be suggesting that I should just pointlessly wait on nominations that I have already decided how to review (or determined that I can not).
I HAVE been doing that, despite how stupid it is, and haven’t gotten another this week. I just do not regard that as a long term solution. That’s why I started a new thread under Tech Support rather than General Discussion.
Glad to know these tips worked for you while the team is considering the forwarded suggestion!
Well yes, but it meant a serious reduction in how many reviews I can do. I had most of two days available and only did about 50, because I’ve just been closing wayfarer when I hit the third skip, and then coming back hours later. Usually that means about 8 or 9 reviews at most, because roughly a quarter to a third of what I get are in Mexico, and maybe a tenth of those I can do from picture only (usually obvious rejects due to graffiti or residential property).
It’s funny because I also get a lot that are in English from MUCH farther away (Maine, Florida, Texas… I think I’ve even had some Canada ones?) so it’s not solely based on distance, although the distance is the obvious reason I get Mexican ones (and they are virtually all from this section of the border).
