Language not corresponding to the location

Hello, today I stumbled across a review from Argentina (where I live), but the title and description where written in portuguesse. The closest Brasilian city from the waystop nomination is over 600km away, I don’t think it’s the best to have that wayspot written in that language, it should be in spanish. How do I review this?

Welcome to the forum @Heperyon

There is no requirement for the nomination to be in any particular language. Use a translator and rate the nomination according to the translation.

The locals can do an edit later.

Hello and welcome,

As noted, there is no language requirement with Wayfarer in any country, just as long as the title/description are accurate in the language used. As a US Wayfarer, where we do not have an official national language, I get submissions in a different languages from time to time, mostly Spanish, but some in languages most spoken in Europe (French, German, Italian, etc). Being I know only a little of these languages, I use the translator built into Google Chrome to translate, and if the English translation seems accurate to me, I will approve the submission.

We have many Wayfarers that travel to different countries that speak languages that they do not speak, but they still find new Wayspots to submit, and typically do so in the language they are most comfortable with. This could be the case, someone from Brazil was visiting Argentina, found some new places to submit, and felt most comfortable submitting in Portuguese instead of Spanish.
