Note: Community well-doers, please do not expose location or further details to this Wayspot than I have shared. I take reporting as opening the door to community retaliation and do not wish for that. I have shared enough information for Niantic to identify what they need.
When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:
- Wayspot Title: [PII Redacted] Little Free Library
- Location (lat/lon): [PII Redacted]
- City: [PII Redacted]
- Country: United States of America
- Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
- Additional Information (if any): I spent a while trying to navigate the reporting system and decided that the “Reporting Abuse in Wayfarer” made the most sense, but let me be clear I do not wish punishment to the submitter. I think an “educational” “You have been submitting Wayspots that do not meet criteria-” with this example as being adequate, however do not let me tell you how to handle it.

As shown in the images I provided, the candidate is very clearly a “Little Free Pantry” and the location being of a local church involved greatly in charity and a “safe place” for refugees making it especially sensitive rather than being a food exchange program. Further, the Wayspot photo clearly shows that it is not a “library” and the photos I included make it clear a visitor should not have mistook it for a library but rather intentionally mislead reviewers (community or Niantic) into believing it is a library (which, reviewers should have easily seen by actually looking at the candidate photos).
I ask for the Wayspot to be removed as it was misrepresented and must be evaluated as it actually is.
I’ll share a final detail, previous “Wayforum clarifications” made it clear these are ineligible candidates. I believe other Niantic commentary exists backing this up but could not readily find it.
