Hello,
I would like to report a persistent map and database synchronization bug in Gravatá, Brazil, affecting our local community.
The Wayspot at coordinates -8.197960, -35.557365 (previously named “Water Tower”) successfully became a Gym as the surrounding area reached the required number of Wayspots. However, it immediately presented a critical bug: the Gym appeared visually on the map, but it was “blank” or unresponsive – whenever players tried to interact with it for raids or battles, the game would crash or fail to load.
Shortly after, this Gym completely disappeared from the map. I would like to emphasize that the physical water tower structure is still standing in the exact same location; it was not removed from the real world.
The major issue is that, since this Gym disappeared, our park has received several new valid Wayspots, and according to the game’s logic, new gyms should have been promoted to fill the vacancies. Instead, the area map seems to be “frozen” or locked in a bad state: the Tower Gym is gone, new points have been added to the park, but no other Wayspot has been promoted to a gym.
This park is our city’s most active area for Pokémon GO, and the local community is suffering from the lack of functional gyms for raiding. Could the technical team please check the database for these specific coordinates and perform a sync/refresh to resolve this error and allow the gym promotion algorithm to function normally again?
It happened near the end of last year. I was hoping it would resolve itself. I use Android, but a friend of mine who uses iOS reported the same thing.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
